There is so much confirmation that Luke traveled with Paul that he probably got the story straight from Paul himself. Scholars attempts at hand waving it away based on weak pet contradictions like this is that are easily explained is pretty laughable.

Easily explained? Did the men traveling w/ Paul see the bright light shinning all around or not? Did the men w/ Paul hear the voice of the one speaking w/ Paul yet not understand the voice or not? Did the men w/ Paul fall to the ground w/ Paul or did Paul fall alone? Does the dialogue of Jesus completely change when Paul tells Agrippa of his conversion from the dialogue of Jesus accounted in the previous two versions? Do we truly hear, contemplate and the seek to understand the words of the master or do we bow down prostrate unto the words of men? Intellectual debate can not occur among intellectually dishonest men. Is a child an intellectual? Do we truly believe we must become as humble as a child to enter into the kingdom of heaven? To convert is to conform into who he is and not make him who he's not you would agree? What if they made him who he's not yet we just do not see? How might we see if this be so? His words do hold the weight would you agree?

Now I wanna know what Paul was doing in the Arabian desert. There are verses in some of his writings that could suggest that the Damascus Road wasn't the only place Jesus appeared to Paul. "For I pass on to you what I received from the Lord Himself." If he spent that time in the desert getting Divine Insight from Christ himself, that would be absolutely wild.

I think if I actually SHOWED you where Paul LIED, You would have a more credible argument. So let me help you. Jesus says quote; Jhn 16:12 I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Jhn 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. So IF we are to Believe Jesus, then we are to believe that He will not be revealing any of these "MANY THINGS" and "ALL TRUTHS". But Paul says that ; Gal 1:12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ. As you can see clearly that Paul LIES on Jesus by claiming He was Taught By Jesus Christ, when Jesus says He will NOT be teaching anything new anymore. So it's Clear that Paul LIED. And Confessed to that LIE so that People will come to believe in the "TRUTH" of God. Oh, And Paul also asks; Rhetorical or Not, "Why is he condemned as a Sinner?" Christians should answer that "Rhetorical" question. Was Paul a SINNER or NOT? Paul seems to be conflicting here or doesn't believe that He IS a Sinner. What do Christians think? Is He a Sinner or NOT?

Synecdoche refers to a literary device in which a part of something is substituted for the whole (as hired hand for "worker"), or less commonly, a whole represents a part (as when society denotes "high society"). “Look deer in the field,” could mean one or many. Learning Synecdoche helps you also understand how Jesus Christ was three days in the tomb but yet not 72 hours.

but Jesus says, For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 3 days & 3 nights. I understand synecdoche but you'd have to do more than just appeal to it as a thing, you'll have to demonstrate why that convention of language _should_ apply here. Also, where are you getting from the Bible that Jesus was buried on Friday night?

I just want to share something- before I found this channel I was having serious doubts about Paul. I watched videos which made Paul out to be the bad guy or just somehow not authentic. Around this time, right before I found this channel- I prayed to Jesus, essentially "can you show up in a dream and explain to me your faith because I don't trust the Bible- and whatever you show me I will follow". So I go into a dream about a lady, wearing clothes of Jesus's time and she opened a book and these beautiful letters start pouring out. And she is smiling and explaining that this is what I should follow. And I argued with her and said "you know, I just really need to talk to Jesus". After all, Jesus was teaching all these people in the distance. I woke up because I was arguing so much. I fell back into the dream and again, I began arguing because I wanted to speak to Jesus directly. In the third dream I calmed down and was just happy to be back in that place. I was walking with women in this beautiful place, perfect weather, sun was setting. Then I see an alter with a book on it and Jesus is standing to my left facing me. And I was speechless. Jesus said "Paul, can you please give our friend here a lesson?". Paul agrees and Jesus walks off into the hills, singing what I believed to be a Psalm. Paul goes to the book and pats it and says "this is the book of life, this is what you are to follow". He opens it and again, these beautiful letters start pouring out- to me they look Ancient Greek- but they were so vibrant, full of color and of life. They poured out and splashed like water, but they stayed in their letter form. The trees soaked them up and the fish were literally following them upstream- and you see the fish popping out of the water following them. Paul says "do you see how the trees soak up the words of the book of life without questioning them? And do you see how the fish are following the words of the book of life upstream, without effort? You are to do the same". He said "do you have any more questions?". I said "no" and he smiled, and as he closed the book he put three fingers in the air and did a sign and those beautiful letters poured out one last time, he looks up and does a sign- it reminded me of priests at church. He walks after Jesus into the hills, he stops turns around and asks if Im coming, and says I wouldnt want to miss the celebrations. I just remember getting really curious and excited and I began walking into the hills after them. I also like to add this because it was my favorite part, but I would say you know- it was my dream and it spoke directly to me- and I always liked the idea of Jesus being brown skin, skinny, humble- you know? Apparently he had no features that even distinguished him from anyone else in the crowd. When I saw Jesus in my dream- he was very skinny, dark brown skin, beard, brown robe and hood, and he had a hunch in his back. He was carrying a sheep herders stick but he also used it as a support for his back. It was so beautiful to see Him that way- I'm not saying it's accurate, but it was perfect for me. Also, my favorite part is I was wearing a robe too and it was very comfortable.

I have heard the same Larry Bird stories told by the same people many different ways. In fact, if you yputube Dominique Wilkins telling a Larry Bird Story, he changesthe specific details every time, yet they all match the footage close enough to understand the perspective. So it is with those telling their own stories and/or compiling then like Luke. We don't have to discard one narrative just because it didn't match the way the first hand ( Paul) decided to tell it in a letter that was focused on pastoral correction.

Hey IP Michael heiser thinks Psalm 82:6 is a divine council of non humans but God calls them " sons of the most high" when Hebrews 1:5 says God never called a angel that. And Jesus identifies the heavenly host as Angel's in Mathew 26:53.
@RedCloudGawdian
@RedCloudGawdian 9 ай бұрын
Well the word angel does just mean messenger, in both the Greek and the Hebrew. Jesus in Matthew 26 53 identifies angels as part of the heavenly host, but he never once says the heavenly host is comprised solely of messengers. Hebrews 1 5 is actually a reference to 2 Samuel 7 14 and Psalm 89 26 referencing how Christ is the king that was promised from the line of David. It also calls Christ the firstborn yet any true trinitarian knows this is poetic hyperbole for Jesus isn't a created being. I don't think any of these passages contradict Dr Heiser's view of the Divine Council. We can't just take passages in isolation, we have to view them in the context of the text and considering the writer of Hebrews was writing directly to the Jewish community, him referencing Christ through the Davidic line makes more contextual sense, especially when coupled with the Gospel of Matthew also being written for such an audience. Hope I could help. Shalom ✌🏿

@@nothingnothing7958 I think you're looking at it the wrong way. Rather than asking what are they, you should be asking what are angels. Angel is simply a job title. If you called me a writer, you'd be describing my occupation not the fact that I'm a British born human male. So when you say angel, you're just referring to a job title. Really they are the heavenly host, the divine council, the bene elohim. Whilst I think Dr Heiser presents excellent evidence, I myself am not married to this particular Biblical view. I do agree with it but it's definitely open for interpretation and could refer to human kings. I personally need to study the texts in both Hebrew and Greek more to form a more concrete opinion on the matter. But the fact remains that angels are not any specific type of being, its merely a job title, like carpenter, plumber or scribe.

*The King James Bible **_was_** at one time a literary masterpiece without blemish. What I mean is there were no spelling, grammar or punctuation errors in it. I have a short film in my playlist on how that was acheived. Now, they're on every page! And there are MANY word switches too! Satan has **_supernaturally_** attacked it more than any other translation, but all of them in every language have been destroyed in the fulfillment of prophecy! Plus all concordances, encyclopedias, dictionaries, history books, the oldest manuscripts and the Dead Sea scrolls have been miraculously changed to match!* *Not every word, Satan is too smart for that and he understands that rats won't eat pure poison so .05% is added to 99.95% corn. The rats love it because they can't taste the poison ... and perish for lack of knowlege! If you ever needed to obey God's commandment to ''prove all things'' and investigate something, this is it!!!* *Our Father said to "prove all things" and you better obey Him on this thing especially. I have an exceptional memory, I remember my third birthday party and can draw an accurate picture of my baby stroller. I'm 70, was saved when I was 10 and **_had been_** reading only the **_exact same copy_** of the King James bible since 1961. (I am not a king James onlyist, but now I'm glad I never read any others or I might not have noticed the changes as soon.) I memorized many scriptures out of it over the years and I absolutely **_know_** that the word **_demons_** used to be all through it. But today that word is not anywhere in there! It was replaced with **_devils._** And the only place I've ever read the word **_wineskins_** was in my bible, but it's not in it any more either. It was replaced with **_bottles._** And now **_unicorns, easter, matrix, castles, damsels, stuff, corn, colleges, banks, employment, schools, missles, tires, mufflers, manifolds, engines, highways, suburbs, pavement, presidents, doctors, pilots, sheriffs, beer, dumb ass, India, Spain, Italy, ferryboats, couches_** and lots of other words are in my bible that I never saw in it my whole life! Many of these words are anachronisms (they didn't even exist in 1611!) It never talked about men with milk in their breasts or fathers nursing babies either, but now it does! Isaiah 11:6 used to say the **_lion_** shall lie down with the lamb, not the **_wolf_** shall also dwell with the lamb! Lion represents Jesus and wolf is associated with Satan! There are 15 films in my playlist will show you plenty of undeniable "residue" showing that ''wolf'' has replaced "Lion". (Residue is what they call all the things Satan missed as he was changing our world.) Luke 17:34 used to say "two shall be in one bed, one shall be taken and the other one left", but now it says "two **_men_** shall be in one bed.......! And the following verse said "two women shall be grinding at the mill together......" and now it just says "two women shall be **_grinding together_** ......! So now the bible makes it sound like some homosexuals are going to be ''raptured"! BTW **_nobody's going to be "raptured" until after the tribulation. The Wrath of God follows._* But *this is the BIGGIE,* in Luke 19:27 it has Jesus saying "And those mine enemies that would not that I should reign over them, bring hither and *SLAY THEM BEFORE ME!"* It did say _eshew_ them away! This change makes Christians sound like radical extremists!! *Millions of Christians will be killed because of this verse!!!* And I know that this is a parable, but the king Jesus was talking about was Himself, the King of Kings! The film titled *Satan's Agents and Doctrines of Demons* which is in my playlist is just about this verse, and is the most important video most of you have ever seen. (It has Chuck Missler and Chuck Lawson in it!) *I memorized the Lord's prayer as a boy because Jesus told us to say it, and I have said it tens of thousands of times, and it absolutely did not say **_which_** art in heaven, it said **_who_** art in heaven, it didn't say **_in earth,_** it was **_on earth._** And it now says forgive us our **_debts_** instead of our **_trespasses!!!_* *God has sent His strong delusion to all of the people that never received the love of the truth! What's scary is, so far that appears to be almost all believers! This incredible phenomenon they're calling the Mandela effect is absolutely real, but it should actually be called the Daniel 7:25 effect because that's where God said He would give the Antichrist power to do this, (''change times and laws''). I first became aware of some of the bible changes in 2014 before I ever had a computer or had heard of the Mandela effect. But since 2016 I've watched many hundreds of videos on the subject, and saved some of the best and most important ones for proving your bible has been changed and pointing out all the places this was talked about in end time prophecies that we had previously misinterpreted in my playlist which you can see by 👉 typing into KZbin (PROOF OF BIBLE CHANGE RESIDUE JUNKIE)* 👈 *By the time you have seen all these films which point out all the misinterpreted prophecies being fulfilled **_supernaturally_** you will have grown MUCH closer to Jesus the never changing Word of God and your faith will be 1,000% stronger ... GUARANTEED!!!!!!!* *Even though I will no longer read any bible, (unless Jesus changes them back), I continue to study what God's word said by seeing what scriptures have been changed with proof of what was originally written. I urge you all to do the same, while you still can, because when the lights go out, all we'll have then is hard copies of the bible Satan wants us reading! At that point Amos **8:12** will be fulfilled where it says we will no longer be able to find His words anywhere again.* *This is without question the biggest and most important event since the day of Pentecost! When you see absolute proof that the miraculous fulfillment of end time prophecies are happening with your own eyes, and how close we are to our Savior's return, it's the most faith strengthening and exciting thing that you've ever experienced!* *God bless you all!!!* ❤✝️💪🏻

Two points I would make are that Luke (or the author of the Gospel of Luke) almost certainly didn't write the Book of Acts, and secondly Paul of Tarsus was a false apostle and deceiver so what he says is irrelevant to a true Christian. If fact, Christians would do well to simply reject anything Paul has to say about any matter.

Youre altogether too "charitable" with the texts in my opinion. Nevermind if Paul condradicts Luke . Paul condradicts Jesus. In matters too numerous to list here. He violates the son of man prophecy(no private appearences) he says the law is done away with Jesus says not a jot nor tittle shall fall from the law until heaven and eart pass away. Pauls says its permissable to eat meat sacrifice to idols. Jesus says its not 3 times in the book of Revelations and James says you cant in acts 15. Paul says Jesus had the "appearence" of being a man. Which matches message of the antichrist in 1John 4 2. Paul advocates lying for the gospel where as Jesus had no guile found in his mouth. Paul says God Doesnt live in temples made with human hands Jesus says he does. Paul claims were saved by Faith Alone Jesus says we will be judged by our works(matt 16:27) James expressly says were not saved by faith alone (James 2 24) Pauls says there are many teachers and that he is like a "father" Jesus says call no man teacher accept for Jesus. He says call no man father because One is your Father in Heaven.

Do Paul's conversion stories all contradict themselves? Yes. Does the dialogue of Jesus greatly change in the last account of Paul's conversion story when it is told to Agrippa by Paul? Yes. Does Paul say In Romans verse 7 "If through my lie causes glory to be given to God then why am I still judged as a sinner?" Yes. Does Paul say in 2 Cor 2:16 "I was careful that I was not a burden to you and being the crafty man that I am I tricked you w/ guile."? Yes. Does guile mean lies? Yes. Does trickery mean lies? Yes. Do we have a case here where Paul twice admits he lies and where his conversion story also does not add up? Obviously we do and these are but two of many biblical examples of his falseness. The Bible is a test. Learn the parable of the sower.

Its important that when you quote a verse as a proof verse that you read the verse and read it in context. Also, read it slowly with the purpose of understanding it and making an honest objection if there is an objection to be made. The chapter is a list of questions that have been asked and he answers. He isn't making a statement for himself. He is repeating a question that has been asked. This is seen from verse 1 of Romans 3... vs1 question = Then what advantage does the Jew have? Or what is the benefit of circumcision? vs2 answers = Great in every respect. First, that they were entrusted with the actual words of God. vs3 question = If some did not believe, their unbelief will not nullify the faithfulness of God, will it? vs4 answer = Far from it! Rather, God must prove to be true, though every person be found a liar, as it is written: “SO THAT YOU ARE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED.” vs5 question = But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? The God who inflicts wrath is not unrighteous, is He? vs6 answer = Far from it! For otherwise, how will God judge the world? vs7 question = But if through my lie the truth of God abounded to His glory, why am I also still being judged as a sinner? vs8 answer = And why not say (just as we are slanderously reported and as some claim that we say), “Let’s do evil that good may come of it”? Their condemnation is deserved. vs9 question = What then? [fn]Are we better than they? vs9 answer = Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin; Paul is following a reasoning which leads to his conclusion. He is not claiming to have lied about anything. Why would he? What kind of man would tell everyone, "Hey I'm lying to you." For more contextual proof, look at the context of "lie." That is found in verse 4 which answers the question in vs 3. He equates unbelief with liars. So the liar is one who does not believe, and therefore probably says that its untrue. It would be like calling an atheist a liar because he spreads falsehoods about God. So when Paul follows the reasoning in the questions to verse 7 and say "through my lie the truth of God abounds," he is talking about unbelief. Hes saying if through his unbelief, God abounded in His glory then why would he still be judged. Paul obviously isn't in disbelief about God. So whatever sources are telling you that Paul is calling himself a liar, they are not good sources and you should look for others.

@@mysotiras21 You can read Greek until the cow jumps over the moon. Yet you can not deny that in once instance of Paul conversion the men w/ Paul see the bright light flashing all around yet do not hear the voice speaking w/ Paul. Yet in another account do hear the voice speaking w/ Paul while not understanding it and not seeing the bright light flashing all around. While in one account the men w/ Paul falling to the ground w/ Paul. And in another only Paul falling of the ground by himself. A contradiction in Greek is still a contradiction in English. And just the same as it's written in the text which I did not write yet merely accurately relay, Paul account before Agrippa he most absolutely changes Jesus dialogue drastically from the other two accounts dialogue. Which is why this point of contention still after over 2000 years is still being made. Because it's valid, very. The only words twisted are that of Paul's. You just lack the intellectual honesty to admit it. This is because your are proud. Religiously proud that is. And anyone w/ a lick of brain power can see this. Even if they be religiously proud themselves. And because this is the case you as well as all have but one way out of this point which is to be intellectually dishonest. Since you speak Greek in and Romans 8:3 says "Jesus came in the likeness of human flesh" might you tell me what homomati means? Do you agree that John says and the word became flesh? Is there a difference in "likeness of human flesh" and "becoming flesh" in Greek? Remember, you're the one that jumped off by getting in your emotions and not using your mind. Therefore it's fair game that I taunted for being emotional. You may concede defeat.

I have a question, is paul a trustable source for the bible because my dad said that paul lied in the books because he was a politician and that the books were written after like 40 years after Jesus.

No that's not true. So much of the new testament is compiled of Paul's letters. Most of the new testament are his writings. And Paul didn't write 40 years after Jesus. Paul wasn't even alive 40 years after Jesus. Jesus died sometime in 30 or 31 AD and Paul died sometime between 64-66 AD. Let's just say Jesus died in 30 AD and Paul died in 65 AD. This would mean Paul died 35 years after Jesus Also, scholars generally agree that Paul wrote Thessalonians between 48 and 51 AD. Which means Paul wrote Thessalonians 18-21 years after the death of Christ. Paul likely wrote Galatians sometime before Thessalonians. Paul's writings are early.

There is no reason to think that Paul was a liar. A liar cannot produce a theological masterpiece, evil people can only destroy and corrupt. Also we need to remember that saint John was an eye witness (First John 1) and his teachings are very similar to Paul's theology. They both believe that Jesus is God and saviour who died for our sins. Paul just couldn't create his own religion even if he tried to because he was only one of the apostles and the early christian churches were not isolated from each other.

I never heard anything about Paul being a "politician". He was a community leader in certain contexts. Nothing gave him a authority to do as he pleased.
