The name caught on during the time they went to the shaolin temple to practice and eat there, it's the way he eats is deemed as a beggar and he does it because he's competitive and treats lunch and dinner as eating competitions, its also his way of pressuring his underlings to eat more which the girl gladly accepts but the boys don't. Most of the time he doesn't act like this when they're on limited food but during buffets he goes all out. At the shaolin temple the meals are vegan/vegetarian and buffet style. Its Korean comedy and he doesn't mind.

Buffet restaurants still earns heaps of money. Out of 100 customers, there are probably 10-15 that can really eat. That's why until today, no matter what buffet restaurants will always be alive and running their business. Not everyone can eat how she or Boss Yang eat. If you see that table of 8, only 2 of them ate a lot more than the rest. Most of the meats that are serve on buffet line are usually frozen which can be kept a long time. They will replenish every few days for fresh items such vegetables and perishable items and places like Seoul is never short of fresh produce. Small buffet places such will get a big boost each time TV entertainment feature them. Although their restaurant name is being blurred out but most locals will know where this place is.

Honestly they keep comparing how the two teams eat based on price but they’re really not comparing them fairly. Boss yang, even with ayce restaurants, spends a lot of money on just their food. I mean look at how little the other team ate compared to his team. Of course they can go to regular restaurants. They eat normal amounts. It's actually smart/practical for Boss Yang to bring them to eat all you can, it's not like those places are tasteless (plus, meat in there is also good meat). It brings out a friendly vibe where you personally dont have to worry about price and looks. I believe eating is a good way to bring people together but I stress out when I have to worry more about my surroundings than just enjoy myself to my full extent. I think tbey aren't calling him a beggar solely on his "cheapness". But because of how he looks when he eats. If you guys watch Korean Historical Dramas to see how beggars eat in the drama I think you would understand my perspective. I personally came to this conclusion because while watching other Korean Variety shows I have seen the MC's compare people when eating to beggars. And if this is not the case, then I do appologieze and I do think it is rude to call him a beggar because he's "cheap".

I dont understand everyone being harsh on boss yang because hes trying to save money. He and his team vacuums food. He would go bankrupt if they went to somewhere other than an all -you -can -eat place
