3:45 actually public college has the university restaurant (R.U.) and you just have to pay a symbolic value, those who don't have money receive it for free. Fun fact: Every state in Brazil have two public colleges (federal and state) and those are the most competitive and desired to enter. The private ones vary in quality, but the public ones have most status and respect. Fun fact 2: The word "public" in Brazil is equivalent to "for free"

@jassy_stay88645 ай бұрын
I would like to say too as well that many schools don't serve well that's if the parents are very well are more involved in the schools. I experienced one public school that the parents group up and complained about what the school was serving, and wanted more better off foods, and I would say this was more on the poorer locations I lived at. Afterwards, the parents kinda won that, and the school was giving us a little bit of different and better type of food. It all depends on the locations and how well involve the parents are with the school.

After much debates and fighting a lot of American schools are starting to implement free lunches now for kids so that all kids get at least 1 full healthy meal option a day, no matter their home circumstances. There is usually a normal meal a dairy free meal, a pork free meal and a gluten free meal, all available per a child's requirements and needs. I say this as a teacher who used to teach at a title one ( primarily low income family students) and a mom now whose kids are in school as well.

We also had lasagna, Salisbury steak, chicken tenders, fish sticks, chicken noodle soup, ravioli. The sides were usually something like corn, green beans, salad and mashed potatoes. We could grab a fruit of our choosing on the way out of the line. We could choose milk or juice. A snack may be a cookie or a brownie or ice pops. The meals were, as Giulia said, really bland and usually even lacked the salt and olive oil was watery (you could literally see oil droplets in water since they cant blend together). We had pasta, then either meat, fish or a sorta omelette (frittata) with a side of unseasoned vegetables lmao. then fruit and some bread. School lunches in the U.S. vary drastically. My mom is a lunch lady at a middle school and she makes nearly everything from scratch (it is a wealthier district). Some lunches ARE free, some reduced price, and some regular price. The price depends on the parent(s) income and how many dependents there are or if the student is a ward of the state. The gov requires (elementary & middle school) the plate to have an entree, a vegetable, a fruit, and a milk. You can buy other drink options from vending machines or bring from home but not from the cafeteria itself. My lunches were delicious when my mom made them 🤣🤣

Now where in the hell did Kenny go to school because the pizza at my highschool is in a bag with way to much condensation so its literally a soggy piece of bread with some cheep cheese. Also if anyone doesn't know some lunches are free depending on the school. Most public schools will have free lunches especially in lower class towns/citys its mainly the private schools (or any school that has a waitlist to be enrolled) that dont have free lunches and those school lunches will always be 10x better than any public school lunches. Public school lunches are typically much worse than what Kenny had. My first day of highschool i got raw chicken, a moldy banana, and milk that was expired and since then i refuse to eat school lunch because i have friends who have gotten food poisoning 5+ times from school food.

What school did he go to that He had all the different food options. You either get a cold lunch or you get the lunch of the day which is usually pizza and depending on which state you live in there was free lunch like I had free lunch but that’s because of the income in my household so you either had free or reduced lunch going off income and if you were fine, then you had to pay for your lunch
