Do Christians have to keep any laws, or do they just need to love God and man?

Paul can be confusing. He argues for and against the law, what it can and cannot do. But Paul and every New Testament writer share the same opinion as Christ on the law. If you use a pair of pliers to hammer or as a screwdriver it does badly because that was not its purpose. Likewise if one tries to be justified and be made righteous by (keeping) the law, that is not the law's purpose. The purpose of the law is to say what sin is, and to show that all are sinners and are thus condemned. The law was never intended to be able to remedy that guilt. Only Christ can do that. But that is not the fault of the law. Paul shows that the law has limitations.

Here in Matthew 19 is the testimony of Jesus Christ... _Matthew 19:16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, _*_Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?_* _Matthew 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, _*_keep the commandments._* _Matthew 19:18 He saith unto him, _*_Which?_*_ Jesus said, _*_Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,_* _Matthew 19:19 _*_Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself._*

Ecclesiastes 12:12 And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Jesus taught in John 7:16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. (Note: His doctrine is God's doctrine. The same doctrine of God in the old testament.) _Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind._ Notice the phrase with all thy heart, and with all thy soul. The phrases; to love God, with all thy heart and with all thy soul is within the God's doctrine in the old testament: _Deuteronomy 10:12 And now, Israel, what doth the LORD require of thee, but to fear the LORD thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the LORD thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,_ _Deuteronomy 10:13 To keep the commandments of the LORD, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?_ (So these two of verses (Deu 10:12 & 13) confirm that to love God with all thy heart and all thy soul, means to keep the commandments.)

Trump doesn't keep the Commandments so he is no Christian
