This is for Phiona specifically. Thank you for all you do. When I left high school and started watching KZbin videos to help me know my natural hair better, all the popular natural hair girlies where either AA or west African. Finding you in that sea gave me confidence that I can also achieve beautiful hair as a Ugandan girl. I wanted to give you your flowers.

This is what I believe. Content creators have a right to create, but the consumers of their content also have a right to have an opinion on that content, and to express their dismay or disappointment (respectfully, of course, without personal attacks and mudslinging) if they feel that the content on a particular day departs from what they are accustomed to consuming, just as they have a right to praise a particular episode. Ultimately, without a community of consumers, a channel cannot grow, and so, creators, unfortunately, do need to walk a delicate line because giving a platform to views that a percentage of a channel's audience might not agree with could cost them that audience as well. Creators need to be okay with that as well.

Claire is right. You cant be responsible for people's triggers. someone can be triggered because you're smiling or loud or confident or slow or shy etc. And you cant bend yourself to what everyone wants you to be.

I do agree 100 with Claire. Our Children’s responsibility can’t be given to other people. Then your kids are in trouble. Just raise the kids in the way of Christ & they will not depart from it. The world at large is uncontrollable. Teach them right and wrong.

I don’t think content creators owe us shit, as long as what you are putting up is your truth. I don’t directly purchase your content so we can’t put any specific expectations on what you decide to share with us.

We're not that gullible as listeners though. We have critical-thinking abilities. According to media theory, media influence is limited. Anyone who has listened to a lot of hateful content will tell you that eventually they begin to sieve out the BS. The same applies to podcasts because, remember, we don't come to these platforms as blank slates. We've life experience, we've read books, and have observed the world from our own vantage points. We learn what we can and discard the rest.

All content creators need to put disclaimer alerts that what you share are personal experiences, views, opinions etc but not the authority/way of doing things. The problem is many creators come at different topics and sound like experts some with little to no facts to back what they are saying. Like someone said, some content is purely entertainment and some educational. Only experts in varied fields who also back up their information with stats and research can speak with a degree of authority but even then consumers decipher what to take it or not.

Creators have a responsibility of speaking the truth and being authentic. Because people watch and believe in you. whether its a good or bad decision that you made. if you give us your truth. We learn a thing or 2 from it. But you're not responsible to our triggers, that you cant control

This influencing situation is personal. If you have a purpose for mentoring then mentor, if you have a purpose for fashion, then stay in fashion. No one should force any influence on another. Viewers need to find their own content creators that fit within their belief system and values. But also viewers shouldn’t place any responsibility on any person unless that person comes out and announces that they have chosen a certain path to become responsible for whatever it is.

As content creators you owe yourselves everything. The expectations, the reason why you release the content you do, how you want people to view your content . I understand our feedback changes somethings about you and is impactful and we have noticed overtime but how you react and what you do about it is upto you. All of you have changed since we started watching but those were your decisions and not something we owe you. All we have as yor audience is our opinions which might shape some of your decisions but we have no claim over any of your choices . Prim has evolved from plus size to her current side as your audience i cant jubilate that its because of our pressure , or opinion that she changed.

I think to an extent you do owe your followers at least a duty of care, but also ethics. For example if you’re talking about a subject like domestic violence or even Generation Z like you did last time, as much as you’re speaking from your personal experiences, you should still do research and give us statistics about the topics that you’re informing us about, because you’re informing. You shouldn’t just basis your opinions on personal experiences. When it comes to spaces like Instagram, we like to see your quirks, and see more of your personality and we don’t mind random content. However, you should choose to share what you’re comfortable with because at the end of the day, you don’t know us personally. If you’re comfortable sharing your huge mansion, that is okay because one person might be envious and another person will be inspired to work hard. Prim for example, talking about coming from poverty and right now enjoying a life of success, it is inspiring to us who are working hard and hoping for our own breakthroughs. Many people will push on because of your story and if it bothers me to see you successful, then it more of a reflection on me, than on you. So, do you, but in addition to your personal opinions, give us other well researched answers.

I understand what clare is saying..its the parent's role to insert values in their kids so that the kids know whats right and wrong so that even when the parents aint around..the kids do the right thing..Prim says she changed her content abit but I think if it were for that then you will have to change the way you dress on your instagram stories just because you have a kids audience or muslims on your platform?...I think its the responsibility of the viewer or parents to control what they(kids) see.

I think that roles and responsibilities are different. Your role is the what you’re doing and the why. But as people in the media space (because content creation is a media space) you have to be aware of the power you hold in the things you say and do… what Prim said about the impact her words have on people. Even though as an audience we have a choice in what we can do based on what we consume, a lot of that is influenced by what we consume in the media. So…. When a man comes on a big platform hosted by women advising on what they should do to keep a man, do they question the lasting impact of that on the people listening to them? I think there are things that we can disagree on, then there are utterances or actions that are dangerous to actual lives. But that also comes from being aware of the environment in which you operate….like read the room sort of thing. Like, what is the politic that guides you and your platform? What are your boundaries? The guests on bump love were not new nor their opinions… but the show was going for engagement over responsibility. For me, while disappointing, it confirmed to me that this show wasn’t for me anymore as it didn’t align with my politics.

@@anonnona6433The way I see Clair is that she prefers a simple life. One that does not require her to do too much yet she is still doing. One thing that some people don't know is how to delegate tasks. Delegating creates room for us to focus on other things. I like to see it that way. If someone decides to delegate house chores to the maid or buy a washing machine. It helps the person not waste time on such mundane activities and focus on more fun and interesting activities. Trust me washing dishes is not interesting so dish washers will do it for us.
