In my linguistics course, at a public university, the professor's favorite thing to do at the end of each class session, was to go and find Gen Z and late millennial slang, and asked us about them. He was so enthusiastic about learning, and would use them because he thought it was funny (spoiler: it was hilarious) and I remember one time he asked, "Do I sound like you guys now?" and we said yes, and he had the most devious smirk on his face when he asked, "No cap?"
@luVsucksxAnngel
@luVsucksxAnngel Жыл бұрын
My linguistics teacher was also like that and she would always tell us that we shouldn’t let older people tells us that we, the younger generations, don’t know how to speak properly anymore because we use “like” a lot or slang, this is just a sign of cultural and linguistic development within our society. What is considered the “proper” way to speak a language is constantly evolving

People also ask What does cheugy mean in slang? is out of date or trying too hard Cheugy (pronounced chew-gee) can be used, broadly, to describe someone who is out of date or trying too hard. And while a lot of cheugy things are associated with millennial women, the term can be applied to anyone of any gender and any age.

When Phil described simp as something to describe someone as stupid, it's actually true. Simp is a word that's been used for quite some time now as a short phrase for simpleton. I use this term all the time to mess with my friends, calling them simps then they got confused which made them look like bigger simps.
