To be honest, vanilla flavor is hard to do wrong. The smell of vanilla basically comes solely from the chemical vanillin, which you can just buy in bottles. Fun fact, vanillin is pretty commonly used in chemistry labs and any shelf with a bottle of it even a closed bottle, has a really nice vanilla smell. Just add that to anything and it gets a really round vanilla smell. One of the few redeeming olfactory experiences in the chem lab :p
