Do Footprint Insoles Really Work?

Hey everyone. I apologize in advance for the bad frame rate. I messed something up, haha. Hopefully, it's still a good watch. This is my final thoughts on the FP Insoles. Have you tried them? Let me know in the comments below.

Some good points here, nice job. I had trouble even finding a video about them that didn't have an affiliate link or sponsorship. I think it's important to note that any benefits from an insole are not going to replace warming up properly, working out to strengthen your ankles and knees, taking rest days, foam rolling, stretching, skating within your ability, eating healthy etc, all for free...

I have a set with the arch support which were very pricey. I baked them like your supposed too and they fit comfortably but after using them for a month i developed some knee pains that i never had before. REmoved them and hope its sorts it self out.

i tried the gamechanger ones that you throw in the oven and then mold them to your feet. they were pretty good....my dad likes em a lot. has been using em for a few years in his work boots

I understand the ones he got, the gamechanger are fp insole best one to get. But fp insole are my favorite still if you get the higher ones, otherwise you can find cheaper one are better value.

Yo I wear a size 9.5 and I want to get a pair of Fp insoles that I saw that are 31 bucks they are the elite king foam ones but I don’t know the sizing cause for small it’s 4-7.5 medium is 5-10.5 and large is 9.5-14 but it’s confusing should I just get large? I skate the tyshawns in my size but they run a bit loose on the heel and I feel like if I cut the insoles that they will only fit on the tyshawns and not my other skate shoes

I used the game changers for a long time and they gave me great arch support comfort over all. Using the king foam elites now and love em. I’m old and noticed they seem to eat vibrations that stock insoles don’t. I respectfully disagree with you.

I think it really is down to marketing for FP Insoles. Would be interesting to know what the shoes are like, if they work better than just the insoles alone. I also noticed on the website they have doctor recommendations. Those are bought and paid for and mean nothing, but again, marketing is everything.

Im using the d30 insoles that came in my bmx shoes and they work d30 is basically a shock aborbing goo that goes hard when hit like oobleck and can be turned into foams or a rubbery material anything i jump of and this little orange d30 foam pad that’s probably 4mm thick in my shoe just decides that i dont feel a thing

The only issue I have is I recently had a stress injury on my toe , I only skate sb dunks cause they fit my foot best but when I put my fp in there I had 0 boardfeel , just now sure if fp insoles really help foot injuries

Ive given the elites a try multiple times. Kept thinking it was me, but ultimately theyre too stiff and hurt my knees and feet. Old bones worked better for me, although I don't think id recommend necessarily.

i really like the vans popcush ones for stock insoles. the foam or gel ones you can get at drug stores or walmart, etc. are fine too.

The G6 and STI insoles always stood out to me; from how they were engineered, to how it protects your feet from actual impact more than what other shoe brands had to offer with their insoles. But that’s just my opinion. Which insole do you favor the most? I’m curious 🙂 I also subbed to your page, very informative and straight to the point. Keep up the good work!

Try z-liners , try them in a shoe that already has a thin insole or set of work shoes, they mold to your feet as you wear them and they're the best I've ever used they're very very thin which sounds like a bad thing until you try them then you're just blown away at how well they work. I use mine in my Fallen trooper

Ive definitely fallen for the marketing and I’ve given them multiple tries and with multiple models. Most of the time, they’re too thick and then I get horrible blisters on my heel cuz they sit too high. They might be good for surface level impact protection and can protect whatever is immediately touching them but does that protection transfer to the knees and hips? My answer is maybe. Is $40 bucks worth it for a maybe? I bet the shin guards and pads might work. The insoles tho? Idk. Maybe.

I used one of the FP soft elbow pads after I broke my elbow, and I loved it. Gave me the confidence to skate hard, and I could wear it under shirts. The insoles are trash.

i thought you were supposed to microwave them for a few seconds so that they formed to the shape of your foot? or maybe that’s another insole? either way i’ve never tried any aftermarket insoles, so i appreciate hearing your input on them

i really like gamechangers on my snowboard boots. Never tried them on my skate shoes. Never really have problems with stock insoles. Snowboard boots are pain in the ass so you need something heat moldable.

I have never bought insoles for exactly the reason you said, "the shoe company developed the insole to fit the shoe for a reason.

i am 40+ hardtail mountainbiker and im doing some research about these fp insoles. im doing jumps and stuff and thinking about getting kingfoam elites + thin insole with an arch suport/heel cup.. im considering fps to reduce the impact forces when casing jumps where the force gets straight in to my feet and legs. it makes sense to me , because i need that the foot always stays on the pedal platform unlike you skateboarders, you guys do want to get of your platform that you stand on very often.

If you want arch support, try the kingfoam orthotics, not as pricey as the elite or game changers and have arch support, heal cup and are thicker in the heal than in the toe

I have had a completely different experience with FP insoles and put them in every shoe I wear. A little research goes a long way. You have the flat insoles, if you wanted a thicker heal, you need the Kingfoam elite. The Kingfoam elite have a thicker heal.. They also have insoles with a mid thickness heal and an orthotic version. The bowling ball test shows the insoles have bounce back where other insoles flatten out and become worthless in no time. The FP insoles are made from a superior material and last forever. I have a pair I have had well over 2 years and they still bounce back. Vans probably have the best stock insoles with Nike having the absolute worst although my favorite shoe is the Nike SB Blazer Mid.

@@KevinNiceTry great videos by the way!!! I have been following your channel for a very long time and really enjoy your content. The elites aare expensive but from my experience since they last so long I feel the price is well worth it. I worked in shoe repair and sold several different brands of insoles, some extremely expensive and tried them all and none compare to the FP insoles. The material they use is similar to D30 impact hardening foam in feel. I believe I do trim about 1/4 inch off the front edge. I use the Nike insole and a sharpie to mark and trim so they fit perfectly.

Yeah, they’re BS. I tried to use some and they made my shoes not fit right. I agree that these companies that are making the shoes, know what they’re doing. With thick cupsoles rage insoles don’t need to be that huge. But Vans know they need to make theirs much bigger.
