That's so funny - true, a 'hun' can be somewhat frightening. 😅 But about the 'quitting': I think Whitney chose that expression on purpose and to differentiate it from 'retiring'. She is no 'quitter' of course. But she decided to quit because she didn't love doing it anymore, and because her many injuries and her height made gymnastics increasingly difficult for her. To the point that she decided to quit.

I practice aerial circus (like aerial silk, trapeze etc) and i feel like you might love it if at some point you want to practice an artistically expressive sport as a hobby. With your bg in gym you’d have all the fundamental strength to just get right into the creative aspect of it, and it s less about competition than gymnastics

You are so wise and mature for a girl of your age! This first struck me when you posted your New Year's resolutions some time during the pandemic (though I can't find that video now). And I always saw you have a dancing gift. There is that 'Alabama Gymnastics Camp' video from 4 years ago. I remember thinking that I wished I could dance like that. And then your floor choreos, and the living room shows when you were little. Had a thought, you might want to learn music recording systems for a music studio situtation and work with USA Gymnastics for floor exercise music. Just a thought. Also, your mind is now free to explore the universe - take time to learn about things though. Recommend you get into dance. It will help you emotionally, plus physically. I also hope you rethink college. Not only do you learn, but you meet so many kinds of people and life long friends. Plus, when you are older, and have a degree, you will have the confidence to know that you can support yourself. This is sooo important. Some women stay in terrible marriages because they don't have a way to support them or the kids. Furthermore, the decisions you make will also affect your retirement. If you have a solid job, with a good company, you have things like 401Ks, FSA, HRAs, etc. Living on social security can only give you 1/5th of the amount to live on. So, think long and hard, and start investing NOW...even $50 a month adds up with compounding interest and reinvesting. I grew up where my mother struggled so much to put a roof over our heads - dead beat dad kind of thing. She finally kicked him out. I learned from this - you have to remember what is at stake when you make your decisions. I think you are so talented and capable, and I applaud you for listening to your needs. ...just watch that you make the best choices.

Consider going to college while you’re young. Maybe give yourself some time to relax from gym…but don’t close that door. Even for music education or business management . You will be grateful down the road to have the degree to fall back on.

God, I love watching your younger videos where your skill was obviously evident to anyone. You absolutely LOVED showing off and I loved watching you!
