How does one lose weight with a lumbar injury and with no thyroid?? Why would your doctor tell you to lose weight, when they know that it's almost impossible to do with a lumbar injury....

my doctor told me that exercise means nothing for neck and back pain and the only thing i needed was a spine fusion.

I’ve done all that times ten. I weigh 149 lbs now. Lost 50 lbs I’ve seen every discipline times 3 or 6 in every field. I need open minded drs

i have dealing with reall bad lower limbar hip kneck and shoulder pains sinse 2012 in 2019 i have gotten to wear even sweeping cause severe pain and muscle spasms currently i can not even straighten my back quickly if i bend over i am even fearful if remaining stuck in a slumped postition with improved laser surgory is it recomended that i try back surgory ?

Pain pills work

Over time as your body gets use to pain pills covering over the injury. The injury may not heal and slowly progress and do more damage. Been there took the over counter and prescribed pain meds for years and now in my late 60-s getting lower and upper back surgery in 2 year time frame with neuropathic deficient to extremities. Don't mask the injury with pills. If you stop taking any pain meds and injury is still there don't wait address it with a spine specialist. Minor back injury can heal but continued pain is your body telling you something is wrong.
