Hey Dr. Gray, thanks for the content and your books. I’m going to make a request for a summary / some sort of takeaways for each video. Especially for the application renovations. It’s just tough to go through hours and hours of them. I’m speaking 70% as a busy working joe applying rn and 30% as someone used to 5-10 min or less content.

Been an ICU RN for 6 years, a nurse for 10. Worked this pandemic and travel nursed at various COVID-19 ICUs on the Eastern seaboard. Hope that counts for something when I apply in the near future.

@@lickinglemons2358 Med schools nowadays don't seem to give a shit about pertinent clinical experience. If I don't demonstrate the academic aptitude, there's no reason for ANY institution to take me over some some zit faced, wet-behind-the-ears, 21 year old with stellar scores but couldn't tell apart an enema to save his life.

Question: Might have been asked before... I have been volunteering at an underserved community clinic where I interact with patients while taking their vitals, explaining labs to them (H-pylori, blood draws, urinalysis, hepatitis, etc) and explaining the lab results and doctor's notes to patients while working and taking notes on when doctors interact with patients, this is a clinical experience for sure. Now, during the Covid pandemic, I have been working (paid) at my University's Covid 19 testing Kiosk where we take vitals (temp, symptoms, etc) and collect samples for covid testing from community members and students, and staff. Is this considered a clinical experience?

I dont know what the channel owner thinks, but I think this is certainly clinical experience. Its amazing you've gotten this experience, I would talk about this during interviews and stuff. In medical school people love reflecting on things, so do some of that and get critical (even harsh) feedback about your reflections. It'll go a long way.
