Hi! I am a recent OTA grad and am already feeling this way.. I feel as I am the only one regretting my efforts, time, and money I’ve put into my degree. With reading that you also feel this way, I would love to connect to see your perspective/reasoning on regretting this field..

I think the distribution of minutes per resident because of Medicare is crazy. And productivity standards make for a stressful environment. You better be dang good in time management in this field. The best part is treating my patients and seeing results 💯

@@misscindy_diaries what you said to miss about OT are similar to the reasons I'm looking to leave IT - doing something meaningful, making an impact on people, being passionate, working in a practical environment and not just being at a computer. IT is a very good industry to be in especially these days. I have a very stable job, can WFH as much or as little as I like, career progression, good team and great pay ($63/hr). I may be crazy to leave but ultimately, it doesn't fill my cup or soul in any way and I am craving a more meaningful work, have the desire to help and connection with people (I'm also an introvert!). Career changes are so hard, I also have young kids so need to ensure it's the right decision.

But I understand that it's not easy to find meaning in a corporate job unless we work for a start-up or have our own business to do something we are passionate about.
