I spent 3 hours sorting, decluttering, cleaning and organizing my bathroom this morning. TOTALLY thanks to you! The method of sorting by category and taking inventory of what you have is life changing! (And the fact that I didn't operate this way previously is also why I had 4 unopened bottles of the same shampoo. 🤦‍♀️)

I gave up dairy for my son and it helped. It can take several weeks for dairy to fully get out of your system and to see a real benefit. It was hard because I am cheese lover too but seeing his improvement was all the motivation I needed thankfully. Hope Owen can get some relief soon!

Oh that is so great it helped your son! I think we are almost at 3 weeks of (strict!!) dairy free over here and I'm not sure if its doing the trick. He had about 5 outfit changes yesterday! 🙈

I had to give up dairy and soy for my first baby too, it took 6 full weeks of super strict elimination of both to see improvement. If you do have to do both dairy and soy make sure you check vitamins and gum and little things like that- I realized a few weeks in that my vitamins and the gum I sometimes had a piece of had soy and even that trace amount kept him from improving. Enjoy Life brand has dairy free chocolate chips- I couldnt live with out any chocolate 😉It is tough but you’ve got this mama!

@@SophisticatedOrganization poor little guy! We had to put mine on reflux meds as well and that finally did the trick. After a few months we were able to take him off the meds but I still had to remain dairy free. The spit up life is a hard one for mamas and babies!

I was having so many health issues…skin problems, aches, pains that couldn’t be explained or resolved medically. I cut out both grains and dairy (+processed foods) and all of my issues resolved. You may want to consider a Paleo eating plan to see if that helps with your son’s digestive problems. Thanks for the motivation.

Always great to watch a Sophisticated Saturday! I noticed you were cleaning as you go when making the granola bars. How are you liking that? When my Mom was teaching us baking and cooking when I was growing up, our jobs were to watch and clean up. So cleaning as I go has been something I always do now. 😊

Do you have the engineered hard wood floors? I’m in a new house with that kind of floor and hear they aren’t supposed to get that wet. I’d love to hear your take on that. Thanks!
@flynn1a
@flynn1a 3 жыл бұрын
I’ve wondered the same thing. I’ve had both engineered hardwood and regular hardwood floors, and my understanding is that you want to use light spray of a product designed for hardwood (like Bona) and dry it off. Apparently steam mops are too wet for hardwood floors.

Keep in mind that stored breastmilk won't be dairy free so you might like to label it if you are freezing for the future. It can take at least two weeks of elimination before you see any results. Bringing up milk after feeds is most likely due to immature stomachs and not intolerance so hoping for the best.
@SophisticatedOrganization
@SophisticatedOrganization 2 жыл бұрын
SO true, I realized that when we were still giving him some pumped bottles from when I wasn't dairy free yet! It's looking like dairy might not be the solution since its been about 3 weeks now so you are probably right!

@@SophisticatedOrganization I know it's hard but most of the time it is just an immature body working out how to keep stomach contents in the stomach when horizontal! Nearly always improves by 3 months 💜

I have read that flaxseeds should be ground and ground fresh before adding them to a recipe. There are beneficial omega oils in them but only if they are ground fresh and used right away otherwise they quickly oxidize and turn rancid. If you eat them whole they just go right through you and you get no nutritional benefit from them.

My LG dishwasher is high end but sometimes when stuck on stuff I have to get it a pre rinse boost like she did. If I don’t, a pan might come out with some residue on it. That’s so annoying.
@SophisticatedOrganization
@SophisticatedOrganization 2 жыл бұрын
Exactly as Dana said, anything with lots of food still on it I like to rinse as well as anything with stuck on food. We have had things come out with a bit still on it and it is really frustrating to have to have to send it through again!
