Have you tried a Bass VI yet? I'm going to keep asking until you do. This song would be perfect on a bass vi. Also, make sure you use a compressor when you try it out to tame the low end. I'd learn this song and record it to show you but you always seem to have a strategically placed microphone preventing me from seeing your fingering. pfft...

Also, in regards to the bass vi, I have been using a 7-string this week a little bit and that's been fun! I know it's really different. I'm sure I'll get one eventually :)

@@emma.harner I'm the old guy that talked to you about my Bass VI in Chicago a month or two ago. (great show btw) If you get in contact with me, I'd be happy to ship you MY Bass VI to try out. It's already setup for your kind of playing. Just ship it back whenever you're done. (I've got other guitars, I'll be fine) If you find one in the store, the action will be a bit high for the way you and I play so you're going to want to shim the neck and stuff, and lock the bridge (they have a trem by default for some reason) But mines already all setup. I never liked 7 strings myself... the neck gets too wide. The HIGH E on my bass VI is the same string as the LOW E on a standard electric. If that gives you some context.

Box or some other sort of middle-man shipping thing so people can send you shit without knowing where you live. (trust me, shaking an obsessed fan is a real PITA)
