Similar to a PC's DOS mode, an Android phone has the fastboot menu. We take a look at some useful fastboot troubleshooting tools for the advanced user.
Sorry if some phones don't follow this process exactly, or have the same features. This should fit most models, but we know not all.

Dear Moto Agent, Ever since I updated to 7.0 Nougat, I get camera error on my Moto G 4 every time I try to take a picture. I've restarted, the problem goes away temporarily. I've have plenty of storage. I've cleared the cache. I've reformatted my micro SD card,if I eject the SD and then mount it goes away temporarily also. Is there anything you can recommend to fix this bug. I had no trouble with Marshmallow.

Android Version 4.4 (KitKat) Steps Power off the device. Press and hold the Volume Down button for 2-3 seconds. While still holding Volume Down button, press and release the Power button. From the Boot Options menu, use the Volume Down button to scroll to Recovery Mode and the Volume Up button to select it. If the device reboots, you may have waited too long to make a selection and you'll need to begin the process again. The device will restart. An image of an Android robot with a red exclamation mark will appear. Press and hold the Volume Up button for 10-15 seconds. While still holding the Volume Up button, press and release the Power key. Try this step holding the phone in landscape (sideways). If you are stuck, try a force reboot by pressing the Power button and Volume Down button at the same time, and start the process again. The device will display additional menu options (text will appear in blue). Use the Volume Down button to scroll to Wipe Cache Partition, then press the Power button to select it. The device will then perform the Cache Partition Wipe. When the Cache Partition Wipe is complete, the device will reboot and start the normal power up sequence.

Motorola, why can't the volume issues be addressed with the G4, G4 Plus, G5 and G5 Plus. The volume is very low on these phones. Surely, it can be rectified with a software update. I would appreciate a reply to this question. Thank you.

Dear moto team I m using moto g4 plus it shut down when I use loud speaker on coll and when I m using camera app and it have a problem of screen burn it show the app shades if I use the app for 15 to 20 min.

dear, Motorola Feedback Network , my phone moto G have some issue that cannot to starting ( the display is logo M ) , i have done to reboot the phone : recovery - wipe data/factory reset - yes--delete all user data - reboot system now. after one hour the display just logo M, cannot starting, please help me please to solve the problem =(

My phone started lagging a bit so I tried to restart it and then it won't just load. It will stop at the logo screen now like forever until I turn it of in the Bootloader mode. I looked into Bootloader logs and I got this: "AP Fastboot Flash Mode (Secure) Fastboot Reason: Volume down key pressed". I looked it on google and I found somewhere that now I can only hard reset the phone. I hope someone will help me, because I have important things there without a backup which I was delaying to do. Please tell me I can at least get the files back. Device: Motorola Moto G6 Play

Hello sir, last month i flashed android 7.0 soak test on my MotoG4 plus device..will i recieve official ota updates??

If you are not a soak test member you should not flash the software. You should never flash anything you find on a 3rd party site unless you are prepared to manage the results. Unfortunately, I can't be sure that the software you flashed is official, so I am not sure if you will receive updates OTA or not going forward. If you successfully flashed actual soak test software then it is final and no update is needed. Best of luck to you.

How did you receive the update? Is this an OTA update? If so, have you modified your phone's software in any way previously?

Idk if a joke or not but ram can literally only be increased by physical objects. I'm quite sure that phones don't have interchangeable RAM, so if you need more power your best bet is to buy a more powerful phone
