This is probably the best hot oil treatment I've ever seen. I now understand better how important it is for me to do it. I guess this will help restore my hair, cause I've suffered severe breakage/shedding, "strange textured hair", dry itchy scalp (the whole nine yards!) that made me want to give up! Lord! I'm definitely sticking with this routine! Nappyfu all up in my face, AGAIN!

Thank you Nappy Fu for all of the suggestions. It seems like I've been under a rock or in a cave. I'm 51 and going natural is all new to me. I just cut all my relaxed hair off October 1, 2015. All of you all especially yourself and Living with Osa have been very instrumental in helping me. I'm scared I've cleansed my hair a bit too much and have a lot of shedding going on when I cleanse. Going further, going to limit manipulation and cleansing to at least once a week. Again, thanks!

Oh, so you do the hot oil treatment BEFORE shampooing? 🤔 Is that better than doing it after? I usually do it after shampoo and leave in conditioner. Then under a dryer bonnet for about 10-15 minutes. My hair feels really moisturized and I can finger detangle it with minimal breakage.

You have lovely hair. What mild do you use? And which do you recommend? Coconut oil works great for you but it rips all my hair out whenever I comb it. However olive oil works wonderfully and allows for a great comb out.

@@NappyFu Am I correct in thinking that using castor oil as a hot oil prepoo is futile as it doesnt penetrate the hair shaft?
@NappyFu5 жыл бұрын
@@youtubeaddict5663 Yes. Using this oil for pre-pooing is counterproductive. Used as oil to leave in or mix with other oils is more ideal and successful. If the oil doesn't penetrate then its not a candidate for prepoo. In my opinion.

I am very curious about the Neem oil does it differ from neem seed oil? I ask because when I had let my hair lock I picked up the dreaded head lice from some hitch hiker boys I picked up. We are still friends to this day glad I did it but yuk! Well when I got the itch I freaked got on the interwebs contacted my buddy Soaring eagle asked him what to do. Part of his method was neem seed oil extract that stuff smelt soooo fowl I almost did not want to put it on my locks. So the madness to my over shared story/question is does it all smell bad or can it smell good.... Thanks.
