Very interesting video. I wonder if this procedure will fix the problem with my instrument cluster in my daughters Audi A3 8L. The instrument cluster part number is 8L0920932M. Everything works fine except the fuel gauge and the temperature gauge. The fuel gauge is totally dead no matter how much gasoline I fill. But the info text on the instrument panel works, and shows correctly how many kilometers I can drive with the gasolin I have. The temperaure gauge is another issue. It shows that the temperature is almost 80 degrees even when the engine is cold. So, will replacing the stepper motor fix these issues?

Hi, if the Speedometer sometimes works upon startup (and continues to do so) until the car is turned off and started again and when it works the tach works and when it does not the tach does not. Would that be the stepper motor housing as your video shows. The speedometer vibrates on zero when it does not work and when it works it only retreats down to 2 mph when stopped and idling. And will this part fit a 1997 Audi A4 (B5)? Thank you.

Hi, the tank pointer is different. I could be the stepper motor but also possible that something on the board is defective. Or the sensor inside the tank
