Thanks for sharing, I like the idea of a budget build like this. Did you consider finding a way to auto-unfold it by opening the platform? I thing with a twisting mechanism and only folding it up half (not as small as possible) might work
@GavaOverlandLife2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the love MagnetPull. You are indeed thinking like us. We have now integrated it into a platform integrated self setting tent. Do watch the videos for Veneu and Ertiga on this channel. Also, this build is in Aluminum that weighs just 35KGs.

@@GavaOverlandLife Thank you I will have a look!

Seems like it has a very long set up time. Also, inside the tent matress is missing which really compromises comfort. However full points for cost saving!
@GavaOverlandLife3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. Yes you are right. In case we wish to keep it modular , it may take as much time it might take for ground setup. In case we choose to keep it fixed to the platform, it will open with the platform in seconds. The internals are pretty as is for the Quechua tent. A mattress would make things cozy. Thanks for sharing. How do you connect the tent through on the door hinges. It looks like the pole goes through one of the holes. What did you use for a cover? Thanks
@GavaOverlandLife4 жыл бұрын
hello @Winster98. Thanks for your comment and query. One of the holes on the door hinge is opened to receive the tent pole. I am not sure about question about the cover. If it is cover to keep the Pole in place, then the entry to the hole is sideways, the poles keep pushing outwards always therefore do not slide out of the support. There is no change to the tent. I can use either on floor or the RT platform. I hope I answered your query. Pl ask if not.

Love the simplicity of your setup. What ladder are you using? And where did you buy it? Thanks in advance!
@GavaOverlandLife4 жыл бұрын
The ladder is telescopic one. with 13 steps and 8 feet length. I bought it from Amazon.
