The Kodomo Dragon would perfectly fit the Drake Classification, which is essentially a wingless variant of dragon with a large, low to the ground build like an enormous lizard. So in all fairness, a Kodomo Dragon is very well a dragon.

The scariest thing about the Komodo Dragon for me is how their venom thins the blood of it’s prey and prevents the wound from clotting. Even if you get away from the Dragon you’re still facing death because the blood won’t stop.

Yeah, I've heard that komodo dragons bite their prey, let it go and the track it down after it's died from blood loss.
@turkeyman1002 жыл бұрын
@@josephpachev8753 They don't let go on purpose, they'll try to kill their prey as soon as they can. But if the animal does escape, blood-thinning venom is a pretty useful fail-safe.

The Komodos com Komodo island are thought to originate from Australia but got cut off from the mainland thousands of years ago, Aus dragons are the closest relos to the komodo. The dragons don't actually eat their young, it's actually the adult makes that Hun training for the nest and snatch the eggs before they hatch. Oh yeah, Komodos are also know to attack if you get to close, they'll charge but if you keep a nice distance they usually leave you alone but most people won't get to experience them because Komodo island is off limits to most people.

Komodo dragons like all monitor lizards (genus Varanus), komodo dragons will steal eggs from crocodilians, komodo dragons will steal eggs from saltwater crocodiles, komodo dragons are the largest lizards and one of the largest squamates, the largest squamate in the world is the world's largest snake being the Green Anaconda (Eunectes murinus).

Your not telling the historical truth. There is a film of a man and his wife walking right up to one and the lizard killed him. I’ve also seen film of the fishermen who live in the area. The dragons will come out of the sea and eat their drying fish. They will grab very young children playing along the shore. Villagers keep their goats on a separate island but the dragons are capable of swimming to other islands to get food. I have seen film of the female dragon guarding a nest that reminds you so much of crocodiles. The young ones have only trees to save them from the adults. There are not many food sources on the few islands that hold a lot of dragons. They brought three young ones for our zoo here. They are fierce predators that don’t deserve life in a cage. They are too dangerous to be kept in captivity. Putting them in zoos increases their range around the world instead of just a few islands where the government tries to keep people separate from them. No they don’t hunt people as a rule. But we do look like dinner to them. They don’t fear anything.

The proper name is of course the kommode dragon. They hunt by surprising their prey. It is correct that they don't hunt humans, but mainly estate agents and lawyers. The main threat to the kommode dragon is that kommodes have gone out of fashion these days in South East Asia. If you see a kommode out in the woods, you should be very careful about approaching it.

I think the megalania is the Komodo dragon later evolving into Komodo dragons although megalania did not have a venom gland and it is the biggest lizard if your including prehistoric times but if it’s modern times it’s probably Komodo dragons and either or both of them are semi-aquatic animals.
@krankarvolund77712 жыл бұрын
We don't really know if Megalaia had venom, these glands don't preserve in fossils, and there's not even traces i theirt teeths if it's like Komodo dragon's glands ^^ And Megalania probably didn't evolved into Komodo dragons, it's more likely that some varans were washed upon Australia and Komodo islands long ago and evolved into Megalania and omodo dragons respectively ^^

Such charismatically dragon-like creature , Komodo’s actually WRESTLING IT OUT, Not HUGGING! Also, the robust male’ 1s tend to kill the babies so natural selection does its thing, by rocketing them off tbh! Their venom is BITE SPECIFICALLY! Just like Seagulls in England. They’re quite common In Komodo island! 🏴 See comments!

@3:28 This is why I love and respect cows and buffalo species more than almost any animal and cannot take pleasure eating them. Buffalo are so intelligent and emotionally intelligent that they will sacrifice themselves to protect the young in their herd even if they are not their offspring. People glorify predators and death in nature far too much instead of glorifying the peaceful clam and protective family group like Bovidae. The same people that claim to cherish life and animals will love a cat, snake, or komodo dragon but eat a peaceful cow with no second though.. self contradictory and evil indeed.
