Mainland Indians also face brutal racism in northeast India. Mind you I'm northeast indian myself. I am from Guwahati but some of us Assamese people have more north indian facial structure and so I can advocate for the amount of racism the people of the other northeastern states do against the mainland indians. One of my friends did his high schooling from Dimapur, Nagaland and he felt completely separated from the local population there. The students saw him as dirty and brownish.

Even i was in 17 days in seoul and nothing of these things happened. I did hi fi with Aajumaas , had a very sweet local guy taking great care of me and my friends with his own money.
