Do LLMs understand markdown tables?

Thanks for testing. I always found LLMs to have trouble with data tables since it converts markdown to tokens. Like the wrong summary at 03:05... What have you found to work best? Prompting too (e.g. this is a markdown table, be extra accurate, check your answer with the markdown table and other CoT approaches)?
