Jack grelish paid his transfer fee back to city last season along with all the other players when we won the treble, it was priceless. In football terms achieving the treble in todays football arena was far a bigger achievement than when United did it. The amount of good teams in Europe and in the premier league then to now is the big difference. As for our transfer policy, I would never doubt what our board of directors have planned. I made the same comment when people where saying we wouldn’t win the premier league last season after drawing three games December time, the rest is in the history books. This season will be one of the best seasons we will have as city fans and we have had plenty. Sit back and enjoy the ride if it is peps last season. COME ON CITY.

We can do it but we won't just yet. We can sign Musiala, we can sign Wirtz, but the problem we have is the case hanging over our heads, until that's out of the way, the club will move very carefully. Because let's say we get found guilty, I'M JUST PLAYING DEVIL'S ADVOCATE! Let's say we get relegated. What are you going to do with all those superstars? It becomes a huge headache as clubs would offer peanuts to buy them as they'd know we couldn't afford their salary if we're in league 1. That's how the club will be thinking, I think. Like everything else...it starts with a goal...a 5 year, 3 yr and seasonal focus on goals.....that requires a systems approach. I think City has that system. We wouldn't have picked Akanji for 15 mil or Gvardiol for 90 mil but obviously there is a system we are outside of. BUT the system does need an update bc players like Rodri, Bernado, KDB and walker are risks...and Pep is also a risk in terms of leaving. So we need to assess and restratecize....what that looks like...I don't know enough to know.

Before watching the video... I would say NO need for change. Its not easy and this narrative that having "unlimited wealth" whilst it does certainly make it easier than a Brentford or Burnley but it doesn't help much at the top end of football. Need to stop expecting City to be perfect even in tje transfer market

It's tough to go with recruits if you want to compete for all trophies every season so the least that can be done is not spending money on bench players. Like, why sign Phillips when Romeo Lavia was available? Why go for Nunes when Rico Lewis could have been given more minutes? A replacement for Ederson could be needed if he leaves but Trafford could have been kept. More names like Douglas Luiz, Pedro Porro, Morgan Rodgers, Sancho, Brahim Dias... could have been kept reducing a lot of money in tha transfer market. Bynoe-Gittens and Harwood-Bellis are promising young players who can become stars soon as well. The players are there, all needed is to work on retaining them. These players can then be allowed to prove if they are able. It's easier said than done but they should be doing better really. Next players are Bobb, Alleyne, Tomas Galves, and maybe even the forgotten Kayky. More effort really has to be put.

Actually I wouldn't have Mbappe. I think he's over rated and lazy; if the going gets tough he disappears. Transfer policy? I don't think Pep leaving in a year would put young players off, but I do think getting Pep to stay may be an issue. I wonder if, in the back of his mind, Pep is thinking he has a get-out clause if the 115 issue goes tits up. The results from the hearing are likely to come out around the end of next season, so Pep could walk away and say "Nothing to do with that, I already said I was leaving". But we have to accept that the day will come when Pep's not the manager. These players like Bellingham that choose to go to real madrid are not as sentimental about playing for madrid as we make it seem. They're simply choosing the path of least resistance to individual and team success at the highest level. La liga is simply a much easier league to succeed in than the premier league, especially with the fall of Barcelona. If you play for madrid, you're simply guaranteed success at the moment. The prem is much more physical and competitive than la liga. Some players like Haaland step up to take on the challenge while others like Bellingham choose the easier path, simple as that.

Spanish teams have won 3 Europe Leagues in the last 5 years. Even financial crisis caused by covid didn't stop them. The best coaches are also Spanish. We all saw the real strength of the Premier League in Europe last season. La Liga is so easy that Madrid haven't defended the title since 2008.
