Are you going to try and regrow your microgreens? Or have you had success regrowing any other varieties of microgreens I didn't mention?

I was primarily thinking about testing on pea shoots. Cutting them as you describe for personal use and use organic feed and see results.

So basically microgreens are not sustainable. Once you are out of seeds then that's it.
@rosedragon108 Жыл бұрын
well, am not sure this is 're-grow' but if i've put in too many seeds in 4x4 container, sometimes it seems there are unsprouted seeds that WILL grow if given time.
@OliveJuice.5127 ай бұрын
I cut my pea microgreens just above the bottom leaf nodes, and they grow back perfectly well a second, third, and even fourth time. It's a great way to harvest more nutrients from seeds, saving costs and even time that would be spent germinating new seeds. But I've only tried this with speckled pea shoots grown for personal use.

Thank you for this video. This popped up in my feed. And today I harvested pea shoots & noticed there were little leaves on the shoots. So I was like I’m going to see if I can get another harvest. I just started growing Microgreens for the first time for home use a few weeks ago. Thanks for the confirmation ❤️

I've noticed lentil micro greens produce a second set of leaves... but I'll just plant new lentils because I like a luscious harvest. Thanks for the info!
@trumplostlol30073 жыл бұрын
It depends on what kind of microgreens. If you cut the cotyledon of the microgreen, there is no way it can regrow. But this does not apply to peas. As long as you leave some buds on the stems, pea microgreens will regrow.

Question: if it can't be regrown. what do you do with all those soil?
@brianfaulkner28402 жыл бұрын
I compost it and it gets reused in the garden. I have a podcast episode about this with other alternative ideas for getting rid of the soil. Type in the microgreens entrepreneur podcast, and go to episode 17

Where do the seeds come from if they aren't able to regrow?
@katify Жыл бұрын
If you plant them farther spaced out and let them go to flower (grow them a lot longer) you should get seeds that way. Always depends on the plant tho! :)

I grew fenugreek in a tray with cocopeat coir.. put weight on it, they grew well, but in the 7th day, the leaves began to rot at one spot in the middle of the tray and that patch grew bigger and bigger... They were slimy and weren't having any mould. I had kept it in open air and spraying very minimum water daily on them.. They were healthy until this rot happened. Any idea why
@brianfaulkner28403 жыл бұрын
It sounds like a case of damping off, and the main issue here is that the greens in the middle of your tray might have been left too wet for too long. This could be caused by many different reasons. The seeds might have been planted too densely or the climatic conditions might not have been right. If airflow in the place you are growing is not very good you will get this problem, also if humidity is really high you will get this problem. I do a podcast too, you can get it here microgreensentrepreneur.com/podcast For this problem, the episodes I recommend you listen to are episode 10 and episode 62, I think they will help you a lot more than what I can write here.

I have some microgreens that do very well and others lie down after they get a certain height or they get tangled up. How do you get your radish to grow so straight? Mine got all tangled up, as some didn't grow straight.

so if that is the problem, can I water roots again with water rich with nutrients? (such as used in hydroponics)

hi! I wish to only prune Amaranth when they grow too tall. Its for aesthetic purposes not really consumption. I have an idea to put them in my paludarium. Is this an impossible idea? just pruning but leaving leaves for some photosynthesis. Please let me know

Could you add a food for them on 2 and 3 grow to help?
@brianfaulkner28403 жыл бұрын
Hey Mark, I think the sun is an essential part of the process, and without it being absorbed by the leaves, the food in the ground won't be able to be used by the plants.
