Yes I love your conclusion! It can be taken as honest when you failed to hear any diffrence. Now you can have some more fun.. (If your speakes has dual conectors) As: Instead for BLT the amps. You use them in stereo mode and get two Y rca conectors and another set of speaker wires. You can test horisontal and vertical bi amping. And see what that is doing for you.❤ (Low hanging frute when you havr the power amps allready there)

I play PS audio m700 monoblocks connected via balanced connections to a PS audio direct stream dac to Klipsh Forte 4s and have finally reached a point of sound quality that I have enjoyed listening to my whole library of music over again and love exploring/expanding with streaming . FYI . I bought amps and dac pre-owned from music direct so cost was attainable for me.

Good to see Josh Homme doing audio comparisons on KZbin. The class D amp with a Tube pre combo is always a winner, nice clean power with well controlled bass and the sweet holographic top end. Instead of the Sabaj monoblocks id just get a Loxjie-a40

Yes, so many of us audio enthusiasts begin with class D amps in our system so a great way to change/improve the sound is to add an affordable tube preamp. I've enjoyed adding Xduoo MT-604 and TA-66 into my signal chain as preamps at various times with great success.

For Mono Amps to make a difference in Soundstage energy must be balanced, same for bi-amp. The dynamics can improve typically because more capacitor reserve is available ,That is its main advantage.

Thanks! I had not considered the difference that balanced outputs will make in a monoblock setup.

I'm pretty content with my class d amp. Beats my Adcom gfa 5400 in every area except one. I do hear a difference with a tube pre

An interesting conversation thanks for sharing. I'm about to plug a pair of Fosi V3 monos into an NAD M10, purely out of curiosity. I'm not expecting any change to be honest, M10 is Hypex nCore powered. But its a bit of fun and not expensive. and I'll probably learn what you just said.

"purely out of curiosity" Exactly! Exploring my curiosity in how the sound I hear from my hifi gear and how it changes is one of my favorite aspects of this hobby. To me it's fun and interesting. Thanks for sharing!

Actually it turns out the Fosi V3 mono amps work a fair bit better than the way the nCore amps have been implemented in the M10. Sounds way better.

Yes sir! Low cost - high performance; bring it! I've been buying and repairing older gear and having fun building my system(s). Mono blocks have also intrigued me as well. Also, by-amping. Currently, I have my center channel connected as bi-amp. Not a huge difference, but why not since I have the capacity. My biggest improvement has been having a powerful amp driving my semi-budget 4ohm towers. Gotta have enough engine to pull the load like trucks. The clairity and dynamic range improved noticeably going from 80 watts to 450 watts. I'm not playing them any louder, but it's better. Another thought is to place monoblocks as close as possible to the speakers with short heavy gauge speaker cables. I wonder if that make any noticeable improvement. Maybe you can try that next. I hope you continue to have a fun with your audio journey as it sounds like you are. All the very best, Kevin

Thanks for the suggestion Kevin! I use 12awg for all my speaker wires. Interesting thought about placing the mono blocked amps closer to shorten the cable run rate! I have also wondered if a monoblock setup either with much more expensive class D amps or simply Class A or Tube amps in a monoblock setup are situations that the mono block WOULD make a sound difference I can hear. I'm still curious. I just did not hear any difference in this A/B test. I also have wondered , as you have, about bi-amping. Seems logical. If you look at all the powered systems from the likes of KEF, Buchardt, B & O, SVS, Klipsch etc... I think these manufacturers always have a seperate class D amp for EACH individual speaker. Having said that, I don't really know anyone who is dedicated to bi-amping their speakers and I have not chased that audiophile dragon yet.

@@Hunter-Gray-LUV-Music Thanks for the reply. I'm glad that you use 12ga cables. It's nice to have the extra capacity even if you don't need it. Like using a bigger rope - just in case. I also would enjoy a trip down the tube amp highway monoblocks. If I ever get the cash needed I'll try to find some bigger old tube radios and rebuild the amps for the mono blocks. I'd really like to get plans for really good monoblock tube amps and start from scratch and fab my own chassis. Bi-amping speakers is especially good with DSP on each amp. I'd have to look again, but I think Parts Express has single channel amps with built in DSP. However they might be "too cheap" for a critical system build. MiniDSP is the way to go the money is available. If my front L&R speakers were set-up for bi-amp I'd do it as son as I could afford to - well - ya know - just because. 😁

You need to fix your camera. It”s pretty wobbly… I agree with your conclusion. Why would you spend money if you don’t need to.

I appreciate your pointing that out. I'm now using the tripod on the floor rather than on the table as in this video. I'm grateful that you pointed this out to me. Cheers.

Yes, agreed. The SMSL VMV A1 is THE value bargain in Class A punches SO far above it's price! IMHO Fosi and Sabaj are the low cost value leaders in Class D and the next step up and an amazing value is the XTZ Edge A2-300
