Dude, that guitar sounds amazing. 👌 Only ever seen Atkin in 'cross-the-pond videos, but they are stunning. The kinds of guitars you'd want to take to sing songs around a campfire but be afraid to take for fear of something happening to it. Stray cinder. Raccoon attack. Drunk brother stumbling into you. Trees not providing adequate acoustics...

Amazing guitar. I have a 2010 J45 and it used to sound like this. I couldn’t play it because the action was too high. So I sanded down the saddle. Now I can play it but it doesn’t have the same tone as it used to 😢

The Eastman is warmer across the mids and doesn’t have the J45 thump on the bottom or the sparkle on the top…different voicing. Still, the Eastman sounds very, very good.

beautiful guitar! Wondering if you had a chance to compare this side by side with a new Banner J-45 and your thoughts between them? They're quite similar in price so it would be nice to know.

Killer review. But for the record by measurement j45s are actually slightly bigger than dreadnaught size. The lower bout gets a lil wider and longer.

1943, midwar, was this still in the Banner Era of the big G? I mean, there might be something like a banner on the headstock. (the banner said something like "Only a big G is good enough")

Ouch, there is NO way i could justify that! For $1500 odd i can get an Eastman SS either 20 or 10, haven't made my mind up which yet, but they are very close to the J45, and a LOT less money. No way these prices can be justified under that sort of scrutiny.
