It's amazing that they can get a brand new guitar to sound so vintage. Sounds amazing.

I've heard a couple of different Atkins in person lately and they sounded amazing. This one seems to be no exception. Love it!

That tone. I had a 47 and it was such a sweet sounding and loud guitar. Got my self in a position to have to sell several guitars and I really wish I would of kept it. That said when I buy another acoustic one day I think the 43 might suit me better anyways. Wish I saw this video 2 months ago I probably would’ve jumped on it. Seems like a jack of all trades and a song writer’s dream.

Love that...wonderful bumpy/etched patina in the finish, and the headstock is gorgeous (headstocks are a deal-breaker for me).

I have a J43 and it’s the best acoustic guitar I’ve ever played. It‘s essentially a lap piano.

Ya have to watch about shipping. Our daytime humidity drops to 9% at 88F and doesn't get to high at night. I've had a guitar delivered at 14%, and it was on- time, whatever that is anymore. That's to dry for a new guitar. Thanks John and Jeremy. Jeremy, I wouldn't go back to the last barber shop you went to as they took too much off the top.

I’m sure it’s fine Guitar but I have a 42 banner reissue from Gibson. It’s my favorite and I have vintage Collings and also vintage Martin guitars. I think the current Gibson banner series is just killing it.

I played a J43 and own a banner reissue. There is no doubt that Atkin Guitars are mind blowing and a joy to play but they don’t have the vintage sounds that we all love in Gibson Guitars! Still a great modern variation on old sounds from Atkin 👍and the bass is rich & thumpy on these guitars

I played this Atkins today and it reminded me of the 1965 banner I played a few years back. I sooo wish I'd bought the '65 but it seemed so expensive then. The Atkins is much more affordable and has the exact sound and feel.

I agree with Mr. Hicks’ comment. I understand the “aging” gimmick, but this one looks a bit crappy.
Cover the headstock and it looks like the Gibson. The finish looks like it’s checking. Ami seeing things?
@Dub12812 жыл бұрын
It is their 'Aged Finish.' They do a very nice job with it
@BobDorfman2 жыл бұрын
@@Dub1281 Not a fan of the aging, at least not to the degree Atkin aged it. To me, it doesn’t look vintage, it looks poorly maintained.

DHL is the worst. I won’t even get into it. Horrible experiences, multiple. Never again. Heart attacks avoided, luckily. Very cool guitar.

I own the e10ss, a Gibson Southern Jumbo custom, and now this exact serial number Atkin Forty Three Reserve. With the Atkin J43 Reserve I don't feel scared to play it or bump it. Just pick it up and play it. It sounds better than my e10ss by far. The e10ss sounds like a 70/80s J45. I love it. I got the E10ss from Acoustic Shoppe as well. I played the Atkin and I couldn't get it out of my head and went back and had to claim it. It took years for my Southern Jumbo to open up and sound anywhere near the Atkin. These are all great guitars. But the Atkin is Legendary stuff and jaw dropping out of the box. I played many guitars that day. But couldn't get the Atkin out of my head. That's what the best guitars do. They sit in your head while you are doing everything else.

It doesn't look weird in person. My only fault with it is that the fingerboard and bridge look brand new compared to the rest of the guitar.
