So this week in Destiny 2, Bungie released The Final Shape which brought with it some NEW Exotic Class Items for Prismatic! They also released Exotic Class Item Ornaments which I do not recommend buying if you are pairing it with the new seasonal ornaments! Personally think Bungie should allow use to use our legendary ornaments on these exotic class items. I know they are exotic, but these do not have a unique identity tied to their perks. So it wouldn't be bad in a pvp setting. What do you all think?

You're absolutely right. Noone can even make the argument of pvp balance of knowing what exotics an enemy is running because players who care about that stuff will just inspect you anyway, notswap is active, and the exotic class items aren't that powerful on the pvp side of things to begin with because of how they did the perks. Honestly this is just bungie not letting us shader exotic guns all over again: the tech is in the game, we can see it, and it would hurt literally noone to let us do it

For sure cuz even if you see them wearing the cloak, you’ll still have no idea what exotic perks they have on, so seeing it isn’t very useful. This is also a problem with prismatic cuz now you can see their prismatic super but have no idea what abilities they’ll be running. Before you could tell from seeing an arc warlock that they’ll likely have the lightning surge aspect, which is important to know for PvP, but now you have no idea, and pretty much have to inspect everyone despite the trials screen that shows what they have because it’s pretty useless info in this case

I love how the cloak looks but I can understand hating how it takes over your entire fashion, you can't just slide it into a outfit (though that's never stopped anyone from slapping base liars into a all black outfit and calling it a day)

@@Tundra-Zero That's why the easiest exotic armors for fashion are the helmets/gloves which typically don't mess up fashion as opposed to chest and leg armor (minus warlock because sometimes the robes do look good like wings of sacred dawn and other times we have starfire protocol and vesper of radius)

@@fulgerion they dont inherently look bad (except for the default titan mark that thing is an abomination) the issue is theres no armor in the game with the same aesthetic as the class items , the best you can do for the default is using the seasonal ornaments but its still a different aesthetic i promise , as far as the dark Egyptian themed ornaments theres even less to work with , best you can do is vow armor but yea it just doesn’t mesh well

If they want to make it clear you're wearing an Exotic class item they should give your character a permanent effect whilst you're wearing it, so you can transmog it. A circular or triangular halo would do the trick in my opinion, with a glow that changes to match the shader applied

My Hunter's look has gradually evolved from what started out as an edgy Dredgen look, but through the gradual refinement, I have always worn the Skerren Corvus cloak. I've worn it since Forsaken, I think. Now everything has to change.

I can't care about this due to Strongholds and Hazardous Propulsion. It's good to know about, but somehow I'm more excited about my new sword and missile rack than these bloated shower curtains with two half exotic perks. Very appropriate warning here. One point i do disagree -- they shouldn't be moggable. Exotics are distinct and must stand out. HOWEVER.. I wish they looked a lot better. The Warlock bond has only one noticeable detail... the identical hologram to the existing DSC bond 👎

Fully agree with transmog, imo the hunter cloak is horrendous to look at. Personally I like my guardians who fight in a war to look more... ready for war? I don't understand this increase in elegant design with a lot of the gear I'm fighting in a battlefield not heading to a ball.

The base color of the ornament for the Hunter cape is really close to the base color of the Sun's Apex Hunter ornaments. Almost feels like it was intentional. Definitely improves my solar build fashion.

Transmogging a class item absolutely would be an issue, because the fact that it's a dead giveaway for some bullshittery in the mixed exotic perks would be entirely covered up. The ornaments also shade perfectly fine.

I have always thought we should be able to transmog exotics but because they want you to buy their ornaments, it’s not likely that they will. A solution could be that they allow you to buy the ability to transmog, in which case you could spend like 500 silver to then use transmog for that one exotic. Which then we’re happy to be able to transmog, and they’re happy to still get paid. Not the best, but it works out for both parties.

I think, at least for the exoic class item, they could have gone more wild on warlock: I get that changing the whole warlock armour system at this point in the game is just a waste of recources, but at least solipsism could and should have been the opportunity to do something different (it's just one item, not every bond ever made), maybe making it give wings made out of the transcendance effect (?), or maybe it could have been on both arms and possibly cover more of that bicep area.

My main problem with the hunter base cloak is this weird metal ring floating around the neck if you wear a helmet that removes the hood. Why is it only 1 cloak in the game that has the hood up, actually keeps the hood but puts it down when wearing one of these helmets

In this case I feel like we should just have like an aura around the item and then let us transmog as usual if they’re so afraid we won’t know someone is using this exotic item. Some kind of glow or aura around the class item that could be made unique would be fine and people would be able to easily recognize it. They just want our money and there’s no denying it.

At this point I wish it was just like WoW or Diablo where you can transmog any item to any other item, exotics included. Turn the feature off for PvP, or have separate PvP load outs with the feature disabled if it’s that big of a deal. At the very least, let us do the opposite and transmog exotics into legendaries.

Plan to get the Hunter ornament eventually as it fits the design I seek for my Hunter. But we really should be allowed to use legendary transmog with these items. Really ruined my Titans look due to preferring the NPA mark over every other mark. But I refuse to let go of the Bear/Armamentarium roll (which I finally got after grinding for nearly 3 weeks). Part of me hopes these exotics get another ornament. For me, real flashy look for the Hunter’s cloak is a challenge to match with other pieces of armor for style. Maybe an ornament for the Hunter exotic that looks like the Frumius cloak? But a little more elegant? Idk, as a Hunter main, I’m a bit of a stickler for fashion.

The transmog system needs a rework you should be able to use any piece of gear transmog on anything as long you have had it.. assassin's creed odyssey transmog is superior they really need to take a look at that .

@@feroxvenom5082 that games transmog is as simple as once you get a piece of gear , you can transmog its appearance onto any other piece of gear , theres no currency involved or limits on how many transmogs you can do per season , no micro-transactions for it or anything , just straight up once you get an armor piece you have its transmog forever , bungie has to lock everything behind a paywall tho ofc

I hate the Titan mark so much that I just can't use it. It looks awful in general but it also doesn't go with any set I currently have in my possession. I have the "god roll's" and I still just can't do it, either the base or with the ornament.

I fucking HATE the way the hunter cloak looks. Both the default and the ornament. The cloak takes up such a huge part of the hunter's silhouette, which means it can very easily make or break your look, and i cant think of a single way to make that cloak not look like actual dog shit.

Because if Bungie let us change the look of one exotic to any armor piece people will complain that they want the ability to change the looks of all other exotics. Classic case of if you do it for one, you have to do it for all.

Another note about cosmetics of the class item on Hunter, helmets that remove the hood... oh, gods... it is HIDEOUS. Like... miserably bad. I don't know how that slipped Bungie's radar; given that the tier 200 helmet seems to be made to match the rest of the prismatic themed gear. Hopefully they patch that.

i run rat king helm ornament with that golden bowl peice ornament on my cloak where its not a cloak more of a helmet add on but if you pair it with something like the rat king where the hood doesnt go over it it simply doesnt generate on your character making it appear as nothing at all its pretty cool so i mean not much to do w that knowledge nor could i rlly have input lol but it would still show the back end of the cape for me just not the hood likem Batman
