Thanks for the video. I was thinking about throwing a qyt into my arsenal so I have everything covered. I have ham and GMRS license. Don't have any cb stuff saw this and thought it would make a decent one to listen on when I'm traveling. You usually don't find hams or gmrs to hear on the road. Most conversation takes place on a repeter.

Is the cobra really better receive sensitivity than president randy? I have the older HH38WXST and its decent receive with the HYS randy whip clone and the 16 inch antenna but it seems the president pulls in more with similar antennas.

Overload comes to mind ,I've heard these radios on FM 15 mile distance and they sound good both ways ,rf gain off probably means no agc in line ....Idk or care just I've seen a few demos by hams on 10 after software switch and there fine ,maybe they perform better on ten because they were originally designed for 10 but idk they should be good from 10 /12 ...I'm not arguing your point just telling you my limited viewing .....thanks for testing ,ps watch tech minds 10 meter mod and test they sound good on FM and seem solid ....73 Kenny ke6iev cb er from 8 years old 1978 first r.s. 3 ch 3watt radio one contact ..... and what else the distance to the devices doesn't fit you override the modulation because the QYT 12 volts and real power doesn't make like Cobra or President with 3.7-4.2 volt batteries and 3.1 watts sorry the test is for the bin!

Sorry, the QYT works better for me than the shit Randy 3! 100€ invested in it, sorry, adjust the QYT via software and edit little MIC capsule, or with an external MIC, it runs great here!

@@ryanmigliori9142 Yes, with the stroke set the modulation gets scratched, you have to adjust the stroke and then it works, but ours here actually work well, it could be that when the devices come to Germany they are simply turned down and so it sounds different!

its am/fm mode for the diffrent cb radio band regions. you can also modify the hex keys to make it transmitt on 10 meaters. but don't waste you'r time or money on these garbage radios
