The large ysl envelope is my favorite bag. I just ordered the marble pink because I love the black so much that I wear it casually and with work clothes. It maintains its shape whether it's full or not unlike most other styles.❤️

I BOUGHT THIS BAG AND I LOVE THE USABILITY. WHAT I HATE IS THAN WHEN YOU WEAR THE BAG ON THE SHOULDER, IT PULLS THE FRONT POCKET BECAUSE THE HANDLES ARE GOING THROUGH THE FRONT FLAP THEN THE WEIGHT TRANSFERS TO THE FRONT POCKET AND PULLS IT UP AND MAKES AN UGLY V STRETCH. BELIEVE IT OR NOT I GOT TWO HOLES MADE WITH RINGS AND GOT THE CHAIN TO GO THROUGH THE SIDES OF THE BAG TO DISTRIBUTE THE WEIGHT TO THE SIDES. IT WAS SCARY TO GET IT HACKED BUT I MANAGED IT AND IT WORKS WELL NOW. I SHOULD COMPLAIN TO YSL.

Does it close okay? seems like you are not latching it shut, just flapping the top over and it looks like stuff will flop out.

I've been eyeing the large black on black envelope for three years. I'm beginning to see the appeal of the Niki but is it weird that I feel like I should get a bag and wear it to death so it'll have that well-loved look? The good thing is that you wouldn't have to baby the Niki so much. :)

If you want something you can wear everyday get the Nikki or something in that style because you can wear it and not worry about the wear. You can also stuff loads into it. If you are gonna spend money on it you should get to wear it everyday 😀 don’t pay full price though, I’ve seen so many recently again on sale. Let me know if you get it x

@@LornaWong Hi Lorna. I got my dream bag! Large black on black matelasse envelope! I plan on wearing it until it disintegrates. I did some soul searching and I think the Niki and Teddy are really nice bags and I have them saved as future purchases when another great deal comes along. My excuse is that I've never have a soft bag before and am partial to structured bags. I didn't want to get something and still think about that dream bag. It's coming next week from Neiman Marcus. It was full price but they have a deal until this weekend that if you spend $2K and up, you get a $600 gift card. So maybe a pair of Loubs or something. I want to get either a ysl Niki baby or medium envelope bag for everyday wear and I'm SO torn between which bag to get... Everyone tells me to go for the envelope, but deep down I love the squish of the Niki. Which do you ultimately recommend??

The niki definitely for everyday. You can fit everything easily and it will always look great after wear n tear etc. the envelope is not really for everyday cause it’s not practical. You can’t fit much. Maybe go with the medium niki if you carry a lot. The small will look cute if you don’t wanna carry stuff for work etc. let me know what you decide :)

Definitely for YSL--I always see many promotions during big holidays from the department stores and other major online retailers. I don’t think I have ever paid full price for a YSL bag. 👍🏻

No worries ☺️ it’s a great bag, it fits a-lot and gives a casual vibe 💕 but it can be heavy if you have loads in it and wanna use it crossbody. If you pack it loads I would only wear it on my shoulder.

Hey Sonia, it’s a possibility but I’m really not sure if it would fit. I have a feeling it might but could be really tight, it would definitely weigh the bag down. The bag isn’t very structured.

I would recommend a casual bag for everyday, honestly the envelope one is not practical for an everyday bag. Depends on what you are looking for really. Because of the price I would go with a more casual softer bag and you would get more wear out of it long term. I also love the black hardware or silver :)

Hi :) I wouldn't advise using this bag for every day, it would look very used after a couple of weeks. Depending on how you would wanna use it, I find that I baby the envelope alot more because of the hardware and the style of it. I would suggest a more relaxed bag for everyday. It wouldnt fit A4 paper, when the bag is closed there isnt much space inside. Hope this helps xx

awww that makes me so happy :) I haven't found a problem with the magnet, its strong but you want it to be that way so nobody can open it without you knowing. you do need two hands to close it as you hold the bottom with one hand and you close with the other as its floppy :) Hope this helps

Hey, you can usually get them on the Saint Laurent website during sale time or if they send you an email for promotions etc. I also look on the cettire, net porter websites. Saks also have Saint Laurent bags onsale, but you need to be lucky as they sell Out very quick. When I now look for a bag I check everywhere for a good deal, that way I don’t feel so bad when I buy myself something :) xx
