Its about the bubonic plague the "ring around the rosey" Was based on the fact that the rash looked like a rose in a circle "Pockets Full of posies" Represented the fact they thought it spread by smell so they'd put flowers in their pockets to cover the smell of death "Ashes Ashes" They burned the bodies of the victims "We all fall down" Stands for the fact that about 25 million people died from it.
