Thank you Brother Yun for this message. In the book (print, not electronic yet) "Wounded by Love", by Elder Porphyrios, the author said that a certain elder is a type of person that lives on earth only once every two hundred years, or was it once every four hundred years. So, after having randomly opened that book and seen that passage in that book, I do I think that you are also a rare type of person, who is sent by God to earth only once every so many centuries. Unlike my poems, which use university-level words sometimes, your messages are able to be understood easily by all. Since you are the holy man that you are, please pray for the 100% conversion of Ireland, and the United States also, and the British Commonwealth countries. I have a special affection for Ireland, because of their distinct music and because of Saint Patrick. The Irish descendants, along with Anglo-Saxons, Scottish, and Germans and Scandinavians, make up the bulk of the white people in the Five English-speaking countries (U.S., Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand). Ireland used to be a center for Christianity in the first thousand years. Also, I feel (remotely, not immediately) pain at the thought that the Anglo-Saxons and Scottish and Irish and the Germans and the Scandinavian descendants of these five countries are now wallowing in atheism and pleasures of this world, like pigs wallowing in mud. I have compassion on them because they are my immediate neighbors, and the people (races) I feel most affinity with, along with Slavic white people also, even more than the Chinese, Indians, Latinos and Africans. Those people (my immediate neighbors) can be zealous when converted, and their passion for the pleasures of the world can be converted into divine love for God. You are many times better than I am. You have the humility of a child, as Christ wants a Christian to have. So God hears your prayers. He often refuses my prayers because I sin, and contain wickedness in my heart, and commit negligence, and err in my words. In my youth, when I was in high school, around age 15, my desire for glory in front of men was so intense, that I would often be daydreaming about performing theater or telling jokes or presenting my knowledge, doing all these things as part of a homework-presentation in front of a classroom, showing to my classmates (in my imagination) that I am some talented person and worthy of attention and admiration. I would compose different scenarios in my head again and again. So engulfed I was in that act of imagination, my mouth would even move and say words that I was saying in my head, and my body would also move sometimes, according to what I was doing in my imagined presentation or speech. Like the German nationalists of the 1800s, I was envious of those who are admired by this fallen world (in those days, British Empire), and I wanted my own "place in the sun" (that was the expression in that era for a country having a share of human glory). So I have a tendency to pride. It is much better now than before, because about 10 years ago I saw the emptiness and futility of being known by people one-way (only them knowing me, without me knowing them). It was without agape (divine love) as part of a mutual knowing. Agape is what God wants between and among people. The point is, you are so much better than I am. You have bested the sin of pride because of your sufferings. As for me, I only suffered a little, and I think remnants of pride is still with me. In conclusion, please pray for the white peoples of the West, that God would convert them 100%, as He did convert the fiercely pagan Vikings, who killed many Christians and had their own system of belief and way of life that was against Jesus Christ. I think, as you are called to the Muslims, I am called to the white peoples of the West, who have always been holding the main power and influence in the West, and through media and international organizations, holding power and influence over much of the world.

I should add, that in the books that I read, I am taught that God wants us to love all people, and not prefer one group more than another. Secondly, God also wants us to love all persons, and not prefer one person more than another. This second part is more difficult, because I tend to care about my friends more than the strangers, but God wants us to love all persons equally, and to love the strangers just as much. That state is the state of perfection, when we become like God and do not show partiality to any person.

Second addition: there is another group of people that I feel affinity with: the poor, the prisoners, the abused and oppressed and suffering, the slaves, the addicts. I have been, in one form or another, all of those. So I feel compassion for them, knowing (a little bit) the suffering that they experience. But this compassion toward those people is a compassion toward an idea in my mind. When I think about those people (as ideas), I feel compassion. But if I had to, day in and day out, live among those people and deal with their daily lives and daily difficulties, I would probably lose patience. For example, my love for the brown-skinned poor does not stand to the test, I was at first inspired to go live among them to help them, but I fled from the "suffering" in Mexico. I wasn't even suffering that much, but I missed the comforts of Canada so much, especially the ready availability of cold water out of the tap. In Mexico, water is like milk, it costs money and you have to buy it in containers. A quote from an article from Ravi Zacharias International Ministries: “Mitchell had never so much as changed a baby’s diaper before. He’d never nursed a sick person, or seen anyone die, and now here he was, surrounded by a mass of dying people, and it was his job to help them die at peace, knowing they were loved.” Crowded by this unremitting destitution, Mitchell is pushed well beyond his limits. What is especially confounding to him is his seeming inability to marshal the kind of regard that Mother Teresa and her sisters have for their dying guests. His inner resources simply aren’t up to the task. This quote is about an atheist joining Mother Teresa (a famous Catholic nun known for her love for the poor) in Kolkata (previously Calcutta), India, to care for lepers. Being an atheist, he did not have the love of Christ in him, so could not love the lepers with a sacrificial love that Mother Teresa's workers had. He finally broke down and ran away from his duties. In the same way, my life in Christ was not that strong compared to Brother Yun and the Chinese Church. My love for God and others was also not that strong. Most of the rooms of my heart was occupied by self-love, and had less room for loving God and others. So when I was tested for patience and love, I failed, and ran away from Mexico. I already failed at least once before, when I denied the suffering Church in the poor countries, and threw away the Voice of The Martyrs magazines, because I was so afraid of persecution from the American police. That action was like denying Christ. It was probably because of that action that my role in the United States was terminated by God, soon afterwards, and I then went into several years of abject poverty and wandering, years of wasted time, because during that time I studied nothing and produced nothing for the benefit of other people. But now I have the Spirit of God within me, living within me. And I have many heavenly companions and helpers. I have also found my mother. I also have access to a treasure trove of ancient teachings, or similar teachings. God's strategic position within me is so much better than before. Things are going so much better for God than before. There is more rejoicing for God, and less sorrow (until the coming of the Antichrist, that is). We are responsible for the time between now and the coming of the Antichrist. So let us strive to give joy to God, and convert the whole world in this time, and nurture the whole world to wisdom and holiness and charity and patience and temperance and courage and repentance, and devout practice of Orthodox spirituality till people's last day on earth. After the Antichrist comes he will reign for three and half years. Some people will leave the faith and wrongly worship him as the returned Christ. Then the Antichrist will die, and according to the prophecy of Saint Seraphim of Sarov, the whole world will be converted after the Antichrist's death. Then people will become lax, then Christ will return. We can pray for those people in the future, but we are most responsible for the present, our times. So let us pray and love and work, and strive to convert the whole world before the coming of the Antichrist. Forgive me. William Tu the Worst Sinner Ever

William, thank you for sharing so honestly! Amazing what God is pleased to do in each of our lives, transforming us by the power of the Holy Spirit, and empowering us for boldness, selflessness, and joy in the path of the great commission. Pray that God gives you renewed strength in the gifts and calling that He has placed in your life.

I really related to your comment about wanting to be seen as talented and important and have your time in the sun. Pride is so insiduous and it comes up when you aren't paying attention. Praying that we will overcome it by the power of Jesus Christ 🙏

William, Also reminded by your words that each of us is providentially born in a specific time and place, and has a unique upbringing and surroundings that have influenced us in a variety of ways. This is part of Gods calling in our lives and how he shapes us, and like you say further challenges and sanctifies us to overcome. Overcoming for one person and the next will look differently and we each stand before our Lord. Brother Yun had the unique time and place that he was born growing up in famine and poverty, and being filled with the Holy Spirit and power according to Gods calling for him in a unique way. Like you share though, loving those like us and those from other lands and tribes may be the long hard challenge, but there is no greater love than to lay one’s life down for their brother. Let’s keep pushing forward.
