I remember back in the late 90s when I was a child, I stayed there overnight (ran away from an abusive home a few times). Back then it wasn't touched, windows were still there, photos were still up. Everything was left as it was. Except me sleeping on the sofa with a blanket lol. Such a shame to see an English building, in rack and ruin. You can definitely tell people came in that place and took everything of value. I'm 31 now and I haven't seen that place in a very long time. Also, it's extremely haunted but friendly ghosts. Not evil in any way. I felt safe there when I was a kid. Thanks for the explore, it brought back good memories.

@@jonimarchese7655 sadly I didn't. I was walking around for ages, looking for a place of shelter, somewhere to sleep and some warmth. The home looked newly abandoned, so I walked in and slept on the sofa or the bed upstairs with some blankets. At the time it was covered in cobwebs and everything was still there. I came back many times during my childhood because it was out of the way. Nice and secluded. Sad to see it go

Even when doing a paranormal investigation, I absolutely love how you respect the house, and items within it…we all see how most explorers will take things they find, or somehow disrespect the house in some way, but you and your crew go above and beyond to keep things where and how they are. Big love from the USA Dave…love all your videos!

I don't see explorers take anything from the property's. Don't know who you watch that does that but you need to call them out on it. The stuff is just rotting away with the property. In my opinion it needs to be burned so NO ONE goes there this is a dangerous place someone could get seriously hurt.
@mrlsimmonds13 Жыл бұрын
@lindatimmons3675 I've stopped someone burning it down before. The issue with that is the woodland is used by many walkers and the forestry commission ownes the woods. Plus the fields above is used for sheep and cattle. I was told the estate was thinking of locking it down but they haven't yet. (Same as the other rotting property) they did once seal up the rear window and within a month was removed again
@lindatimmons367511 ай бұрын
@@mrlsimmonds13 Fire dept usually will do a controlled burn but maybe not that country. The thing about abandoned property is its a magnet for all kinds of bad stuff that could happen. And people look for and know of all o the places to get into trouble. Thank you for your response comment

All I could feel while watching this was immense sadness. I think Mary is scared, sad, and confused. The thought that in her last moments she made it out of the house where she hardly, if ever, left breaks my heart. The dedication, love, and loyalty she demonstrated toward her husband is more than admirable. May she and Edward find peace. 🕊

I remember when I was a child of around 11, an elderly neighbour of ours once told me on Halloween they had to lock their son up ( he must have been in his 30s) because he went very strange on this night, don’t know if he was joking or not, we hardly ever saw his son, I saw him once on the garden but his father quickly called him back in the house, I just remember him as middle aged dark hair chubby and he had a stutter, I don’t believe he was evil and needed to be locked away at Halloween he may have been person with autism or something similar, and because he was different his elderly parents locked him away, I don’t know what became of him as we relocated, but I always remember his old dad with his collie dog going for a walk every day and I would go with them sometimes to the farm gate and he would chat about the cows etc and farm life.

❤From all that I have seen in my days regarding this, my first thought was, it is much kinder and caring and loving to restrain or keep loved ones locked into their own family's home, rather than be put into a psychiatric hospital or worse, places where the staff really don't care about you beyond a certain point. Maybe they knew this too, and kept him home although locked away, but where he was very likely better treated than in one of those horrible institutions?

I was going to say the same about Schizophrenics…being far out in the country there and alone was a safe place for him. They don’t run away from Quiet, they do run from loud noise and huge crowd or people always coming to the door. That atmosphere probably was the best place for Ed Polok while living with his mental illness. It was lovely to KNOW that the Mrs. Was getting written letters from friends and or relatives. She is the one who lived a very lonely or sad life but I’m willing to bet, she made the best of what she had to work with.

There was treatment for schizophrenia well before the 80s, perhaps she was suffering from a severe mental illness also, folie au deux syndrome. There was no need for this situation. My aunts maiden name was Pollock, but she passed quite some time ago. She was Austrian and they escaped the Germans as her father was Jewish. Paranoia is an awful disease, I was a psychiatric nurse from 16, I am now 68, my aunt was also a psychiatric nurse who trained after she escaped the Germans. Most of my family both male and female have been psychiatric nurses since pre WW1. They are nothing to be scared of, they are ill. Kindness and understanding is what they need, nobody picks crazy. I’ve worked nights for a long time in an old mental hospital that is now apartments and no one comes running out of the buildings screaming about ghosts.

Poor lady. She had a lot to contend with. A few things stood out for me; not very nice, but in the bedroom where she said Lily, she also said Grand-dad, so scared, and what to me sounded like 'incest'. Surprised no one else picked up on this as all said very clearly. Also the chair of torture. I m not so sure these were her daughters bedrooms, but rather think as this was her childhood, as well as her marital home, and that Lily and Regina were possibly her sisters, or maybe her grandchildren. That would make sense of the words. Maybe her husband has moved on, but she herself has remained in the family home, which she would of course have deep connections to, through many past generations. I think people in spirit can present themselves as they wish, and I think that she now exists in a happier time, than when she lived there as a married woman. Disgusting that people have trashed this place.

Going to investigate on a horribly cold night demonstrates your dedication to your passion! Cannot begin to imagine what Mary's life was like caring her ill husband. I worked at a psychiatric hospital thirty years ago were many of the residents suffered from some level of schizophrenia. With the proper program and medication most were able to leave the hospital and resume their lives. Some were so sick the hospital was their permanent home. Being alone with Edward having no support and respite must have unbearable for Mary. No wonder she was so talkative to you, at last having normal company to listen to her. You and your crew were so respectful and sensitive. I think she needs help to cross over. Or, did she follow you home?

DO NOT keep constantly asking, 'Do you want us to leave'. When you first enter a property you say who and what you are. Also that you mean no harm of any kind or cause any damage. (Technically you are Recording the History of the Property for People to see) Five minutes before it is time to leave you tell them you will be leaving in 5 minutes but you would like to thank them for their kindness. To constantly ask 'Do you wan't us to leave', Souls can take that to mean you don't like the property and want to leave. They may be Souls but they are still People.
@Starlight17104 ай бұрын
I think Mary might have liked your visit, because you were respectful and you didn't destroy or steal anything. If I may suggest, maybe don't ask so often, if you should leave. I think if a spirit that talks to you really wants you out, you will get the usual "get out" to make it clear. I really think she liked you being there and that's why she didn't answer your questions about leaving.
