To get more marks in your exam, use critical comments, identify themes such as modernism, and never forget to give your opinions.

Only if you have the time and interest to read them. Read the ones that you like the most and that haven't been asked for long. Find critical comments if you can, on them, and make sure to include them in your answers.

Tanya Mittal I wish I could have done that , Tanya. I am extremely sorry but I am very busy as of the moment due to my exams. I will try to make videos on more poems once I get a little time, probably before your boards. However, it is highly probable that you get these two poems in the exam so you prepare them well. All the best

Interstellar. The poem, written by Dylan Thomas for his father as he was dying from old age is a plea for humanity to always fight - even when it is hopeless - for life and existence no matter what the cost. ... In Interstellar, it is used as a metaphor for fighting against the extinction of the human race. Who beats Nolan.

I think it is own selfish desire not to lose his Father rather than a altruistic passion for people to fight against death.
@AuthenticEnglish
@AuthenticEnglish 6 жыл бұрын
Philip Merewood it can be interpreted this way, definitely. Love for parents cannot be called totally selfish. As i mentioned in the video, the poet is sad to see his father go. Therefore, it is a poem that is very personal yet we as readers of the poem can take that message. Critics believe that it talks not just about not fearing death but also putting up your best foot forward in all situations. Moreover, this was merely an explanation for school students. I decided not to talk about many varied and subtle themes to keep things simple.
