Very important to secure a job at least a month before arrival to Alberta. The job market is a bit complex.

Alberta is the best province by far where you can show up with nothing and build a life easily.... Unless you're a liberal from Ontario or the Maritimes... Then stay home

You can't even build a life here lol the ucp has driven everything to the ground

@@Hall0w33n_l0v3rthe wages and work is better here than in BC. Not perfect. But it is better. I really don’t think any of these people realize how much worse it is next door and that’s why they don’t realize.. this is actually not as bad as other places, LOL

Provincial & Federal tax rates for 2024 are: 15% on the first $55,867 of taxable income. 20.5% on taxable income over $55,867 up to $111,733. 26% on taxable income over $111,733 up to $173,205. In Canada as a self employed person I pay 25% in Income taxes and then I pay into CPP on top of that. Both together is around 30% of my income. I think its good to let people know those rates you posted are not for self employed people who pay a lot more!
@dhamon-pi6osАй бұрын
If you are paying more tax and not less while self-employed you are either doing it wrong or are lying. Youbare only showing federal rates too. At highest level you pay 48% combined
@dhamon-pi6osАй бұрын
Also combined rates are 25-48% marginal tax rate on 100k is 35.9%
@brad.walker.airdrie.realtorАй бұрын
Of course everyone’s tax situation is going to look a little bit different. This video presents the general numbers, but your situation may mean you pay taxes a bit differently. But you shouldn’t be paying more than these numbers though!
@madisonstone3258Ай бұрын
Excuse me 26% plus ccp. Its well over 30% and I said around. I pay a company to do my taxes so if you would like to contact them and let them know they are doing it wrong I'll give you their info. You also don't know my income so there's that too if you're gonna be a crusty.

Thank you for the informative video , we have considered the move from Victoria ( What !!! I know ) the most amazing place to live i'm sure in Canada , but its crazy here , unbelievably expensive and the infrastructure has become intolerable , it can take over an hour to drive 15 kilometers , and a typical wait in any hospital / clinic is 7 hours , there are so many people here in such a small space , a camp site , better book 6-12 months in advance , gas food taxes all super high . We are lucky to be home owners , but our children and grandchildren won't have it easy . Still beautiful though

Do Albertans know Trudeau gave Stellantis $10 billion to build a $500 million EV battery plant in Windsor? Doug Ford kicked in an extra $5 billion. That adds up to $30 for every $1 the plant cost. I'm 60 and never heard of such an outrageous waste of taxpayer funds.

Stay out of Alberta. It's not ready for this. If you had your fun and joy in a place that is now too pricey. It's on you to deal. Not us. Trying to have it all will be bad for the balance. Humans are so selfish now. Good luck everyone.

I was born in Alberta 64 years ago and I wouldn't move here because: -The Provincial Government is Anti-Canadian and full of Right Wing Extremist Conspiracy Theorists. -The Provincial Government has attacked the reputations of Teachers, Doctors and Nurses. This has created labour shortages in these professions. Finding a Family Doctor is extremely difficult. Emergency rooms are over run. School Classrooms are overcrowded, schools are understaffed when it comes to special needs children. - Utility Electricity is Very Expensive, the highest rates in Canada -Vehicle Insurance legibility is determined by Insurance Companies. If an Insurance Company determines you are not a good driver, your Vehicle Insurance Coverage can be denied or canceled at any time. -There are "Fees" for many Provincial Services. These fees are expensive, add up quickly and are like a hidden tax. -The Provincial Government does not use the words; "Climate Change, or Global Warming". Even when the Provinces Forests burn every summer. -Renting or Leasing a place to live is more expensive than purchasing a home. Many renters are paying more than 40% of their income on rent. -If you don't have secured employment with a well paying job, don't move here. Alberta has the highest unemployment rate in the Country. The cost of living is very high. Moving with a Family with Kids is not recommended. -The Political Environment is Toxic. "Make Alberta Great Again" is a thing here. Fill in the Blanks.
