The biological family is the toughest place to witness our Lord Jesus Christ. They know you an old way so that’s the main barrier to break for them first. When they hear the gospel they usually are first looking at the “old you” as a filter for their thoughts. The gospel message is still more powerful than that filter, however random people seem more receptive to even listen to you speak about anything as well as the gospel message. My biological father and his side of the family is brainwashed by either the roman catholic or jesuit sect church. They’ll tell me “God bless” sometimes. I usually answer in that moment that any “God bless” message without being in Christ Jesus are empty words. Well, they usually also speak the “God bless” in a very nonchalant, religious, hypocritical, passive way as if just saying hi or bye which makes me cringe, pause and reply with the gospel and John 14:6. Immediate family is so difficult especially when there was even abuse and worse things going on. But as our Lord said He not come to bring peace but a sword and if God says to go one way and your family and friends, the world says another, we are to always go God’s Way and even hate (not pursue) the other.

That’s true. Family can be difficult to reach, but it can be done!! Sometimes what they need to see is that you actually care, and that you actually carry yourself as a good representative of Christ. Nevertheless, the gospel is the power, and we must share I every opportunity that affords itself. Thank you for sharing!! - Trent

@@BibleLine Yes, it can. My brother got saved about a year and a half ago. Praise God! Yet, I refuse to go back to the old crucified me. That does cause a-lot of tension. God bless you and the ministry Trent!
