Thought I would try modding Skyrim again after 3 years of not playing. Booted it up!...oof! what a mess! However, stumbled across your mod guide (2019) and (revert to earlier versions vid) and started watching.. OMFG! I been following this tutorial for 7 hours straight, no errors and love it including the best mods list site. Quite painless to follow if you take your time. Im a 'journeyman'. With careful reading and 'rewinding' of your vids I am thoroughly enjoying the process! For the first time I am anticipating I can actually play the bloody game without feeling the need to add 'this' house or 'that' dungeon. Absolute stellar work my friend! Simply brilliant! I love particularly how you cater to several levels of modder. Unfortunately I have to eat :/ so I will continue my modding journey tomorrow. Cannot thank you enough! LEGEND!

I just wanted to say that is really sweet of you to do this guides step by step and so full of details. I used to mod a few years back, and I kinda knewwhat I was doing, but I don't remember a thing anymore. Things are, actully, very different from before, but it's way more than that, is like, understanding step by step in a situation that we are all very stressed cuz of our world state, you know? I swear, getting back to skyrim, specially with your guides, has really been a pleasent experience during this end of the world. And I really never thought I'd say that modding skyrim was relaxing or something like that! lol. Thank you, either way. You're awsome.

All I can say is THANK YOU so much for this series of videos!! I've been modding for a while but only on and off as I feel like playing SSE, so I'm still pretty new to it. These videos have already inadvertently pointed out lots I've been doing wrong, even with MO2 itself. Also, this is the first time I get to see a face to your channel. You're really cute!

Your videos have helped me convert from Xbox to PC (after over 375 hours on Xbox) in a simple and straightforward way. Working on my 375 hours on PC...thanks for all the great info...[edit]...that was SE...turns out that when I looked back at my Xbox360 hours I have over 1200 in addition to the 375 on SE. I was called out by a friend saying 375 sounded low. Oh well, that’s a new goal...here comes 1200 more hours I guess...

I used to only mod for my cracked version of legendary Skyrim. After 6 years of being angry at Bethesda's new games I decided to actually buy the games they made that I liked and figured I should get familiarized with the modding scene again and stumbled upon your videos. Many mods don't work on SE so I was very doubtful and there is the second mod organizer now? I really must be getting old. Thank you for your videos and mod suggestions, I checked out your site, every mod seems to be explained well. Is there a reason to download the frameworks of some mods I don't want to use? Also I don't know if you used it but could you do a SkyRe installation tutorial, if that's a mod that you used. I remember not being able to install it properly few years ago and the game is 10 times more alluring to me with it. Love from Turkey man, subbed

I don't have the SSE, I have the original... why are most of not all "best" Skyrim mods just for SSE... I don't want to be forced to buy SSE just so I can mod it... I can't seem to find a list of best mods for normal Skyrim to have installed... any hint/suggestion would be appreciated.

Because "oldrim" as modders call it is obsolete and outdated. Why not upgrade to SSE? All the mods are for SSE because it's a better updated game in every way. At this point, you pretty much HAVE to upgrade to SSE, you're doing yourself a disservice by sticking to Old Skyrim.

Just a question, I'm using MO2 to manage my mods, but there's something that I want to do that I don't know if it will make my game crash, what can happen if I delete the ZIP archives that I have downloaded and later installed to save a few GB on the drive?

Remove the mods on MO2 and it deletes it, also try deleting your recycling bin that should save more than a few GB on the drive, then also delete installed and uninstalled downloads from your download list

@@aicavehub Coolness. With my previous modding experience and your essentials series I've been able to put together something that is both stable, fun and super hard to play that hasn't crashed once. I believe what I was missing in my previous builds was a stable foundation. Thank you.

Do you know how to download Skyrim 1.5.80 from Steam? In the latest version Quick loot doesn't work (or mods that quick loot requiries don't work). And I can't play without quick loot. Or do you have any idea how to run quick loot on 1.5.97?

I'm actually in the process of removing quickloot from BMS Essentials all together atm. It's really hard for me to play without it too but it has random crashes on 1.5.80 as I have found out. So it looks like quickloot won't be part of BMS until they're both updated to 1.5.97 or beyond.
