I can't believe Splatoon 2 queues have already reached Splatoon 1 levels of nobody being in them. Splatoon 1's servers have been down for a hot minute, but the last time I was able to play it, it took me half an hour just to get into one match.

6 years already!?! Ah god the memories is insane, my first splatoon game ever. I remember playing this after school during the pandemic and getting level 100 and S rank, being excited to get the golden tooth pick, meeting Vian in a turfwar and etc. It’s crazy how much this game aged but I gotta say it will never get old.

​@@GrayVaaler.... That means they've been shutdown kid. The game is just issuing a standard maintenance message due to not being able to ping the servers for a map change. Kinda daft really since the game, like it is now, is pier to pier. Yes that means your Wii u is the host of all those matches and not a server. Those servers have likely been repurposed for use on switch games, again not to host but just ping rotations.

Splatoon 2 was my first Splatoon game and it introduced me to your videos. While I feel Splatoon 3 was a major improvement, I still hold 2 close to my heart as like I said before, it got me into this awesome franchise

I’m still playing Splatoon 2 every now and then. I’ll play some Splatoon 3 first until I’ve done my daily things (shop checking, get at least one catalog point by getting the daily win, buying one reduced capsule). Then I’ll go back to Splatoon 2 to check the stores, finish Octo Expansion with every weapon, play Turf War as an octoling to finish both inking missions, and play Salmon Run to get the last 5 outfits I don’t have yet.

I really miss Splatoon 2 multiplayer modes. There was a better matchmaking, you could see opponents ranks and levels, UNLIKE splatoon 3, there were MUCH better maps, it was more colorful

I miss the Splatoon 2 era…my sister and I spent A LOT of time playing this game, we were obsessed lol. Not to mention the good memories, even the Octo expansion is kinda nostalgic to me. There’s been occasions where I go back to it and play a couple of matches and/or fight inner agent 3 just for fun. Although I was very excited for Splatoon 3, it just doesn’t hit the same for me or maybe I’m just getting old.

Man Splatoon 2 was my introduction to this series I don’t 100% remember how I got the game I think I just saw some gameplay or if I picked it up at the Walmart thinking it looked good and wanted to try it, probably the ladder and surprisingly enough I’m now a permanent roller main since it’s what I’m best at and Waleye warehouse was my first map to play on, man I’m so glad I picked up Splatoon

I lost all of my Sp2 data because my old switch died, so I restarted the game one month ago. Sadly I lost all of my perfect gear and my clam blitz X rank (I loved this mode in sp2 but I found it bad in sp3) but at least I could discover the game again, it made me feel so nostalgic. There are actually people playing this game daily on very low ranks, but once I got to B rank, I had a lot of trouble finding a game and most players are bad, although I managed to find a few decent players. I wish more people would play this game, I find it more fun than sp3. Fun fact : salmon run is the only game mode that allows you to play with an empty lobby.

I still go back to two sometimes. It got me through the pandemic and holds a special place for me. Once you feel more comfortable I would highly recommend the Octo expansion. It’s challenging but it’s really bloody good DLC.
