"Dont sleep on this commander" This will go perfectly in my Mathis deck. Its a mass boardwipe/mass revival deck where i basically wipe the board then we all bring back creatures (its kinda a hug deck too we all bring creatures back). Im literally drooling over this card.

This commander definitely has a lot of potential, but I can see it still being overlooked or being one that people find annoying to play against. The reasons being that it’s either yet another Aristocrats commander, or people get super annoyed by it going in the direction of a bunch of board wipes. Now if there were more payoffs for having a bunch of Treasures (outside of massive spells or storming off), then yeah, it’d be neat, but as it stands, this is a commander that either falls into an already filled theme or into an annoying slot where you board wipe a lot.

What?!?! This is such a strong card. You can easily make at least 2 treasure tokens a turn with that. Moreover, it is expodential value. The first time you make treasure tokens will give you more mana for the next turn. With this mana you will be able to have more creatures die, so you will make more tokens and so on.. I am not kidding that this card can let you have you like 20 mana on turn 6 if goes unchecked I would also build this commander much different. I would focus havily on aristocrat strategy which let you killing creatures much easier than removals. Than i will use the mana to enhance the board state only growing my engine. The treasures are the cherry on top, letting you recover easily from board wipes and also maybe playing a few huge creatures

I've been wanting to make a Devil tribe deck for some time. I have most of the pieces for it but I kept switching between mono-red and black-red, even thought about Jund devils with the new 3 color commanders. This card is really tempting but I already have a black-red Minotaur tribal deck and really don't want another tribal deck in those colors. Its really tearing me up because of the limitations I have set. I will put this card in my Jund Snackrifice deck.

ok hear me out--- Urborg, kormus bell are on the battlefield, so all lands are creatures. Cast Mahadi, and while he's on the stack cast an instant speed boardwipe (eg. starswarm or regular boardwipe + vedalken orrery.) Mahadi etbs, you end your turn, all lands and creatures are gone and you have an insane amount of treasure. Only thing that bothers me slightly is that Mahadi doesn't have Hexproof, Shroud or Ward. I know that B/R are not known for those abilities, but it would be very flavorful since Rakshashas are infamous for their immunity to magic.

It feels like they reprinted Dockside without it actually being Dockside AND it can sit in the command zone. This effect is too cheap, and I hate the design. Really hope I'm wrong, but I think this card is going to cause some issues.

Dockside doesn't require additional cards to work and isn't vulnerable to removal this isn't even close. On top of needing removal or a board wipe to really get going you need a third card to keep him alive if you already put him out early meaning you can't play him then do a board wipe next turn you need enough mana to do it all in one go. 3 card combos that win the game are normal. To get a few treasure is meh.

@@regaleagle6533 The issue is that bc it's your commands, you can build your whole deck around it working. It wouldn't be hard to Blasphemous Act and then play your commander for 4 mama total. The fact that you could easily use any board wipe that kills, and then play your your commander at any time is a very dangerous combo imo. Sure, you have to wait a turn to get the full use out of the treasures, but the amount of mana you have your next untap is something to fear. I see this consistently making a lot of treasures the turn you decide to play it.

@@dawsonnunn2445 It can consistently make treasure but not Dockside consistent. Many board wipes take more than 1 mana and Blasphemous is hardly impervious to board protection. It also doesn't work with superior board wipes that exile. Also it is completely defeated by a removal that says "Destroy target creature" which does nothing against dockside it is already too late. A removal spell they can see they need coming from a mile away when this is in your command zone. It does not combo or loop infinetely with ease. It is good but not nearly on the same power level. It is also super weak to opposing board wipes and players not using creature heavy decks where Dockside just wants your opponent to be using sol ring and similar.

@@regaleagle6533 I see your points, and, on some reconsideration, think you're right that they're two different power levels. It isn't Dockside 2.0. That said, I still feel like it's poor design in that it pushes a play style that feels bad to play against and feels repetitive. I could easily see someone using a repeatable sack engine to get basically infinite mana by their end of turn if no one can stop them (I just hope they actually have a win-con if they do.). Time will tell if this card is as bad as I fear.
