How about with Gisa Glorious Resurrector. It's a bit odd, but still. Whenever an opponents creature dies you exile it then put it onto the battlefield under your control with decay. Swing with it, then make an enchantment out of it

If you want an Abzan commander pair, go for Tymna and Sidar Kondo... your deck is about 25 apostles with 1 power, spammable, unblockable and draw you cards till you get/tutor out a big guy. Also, green gives access to both ramp AND Bloodbond March (something I thought to never see in commander :P). There is also a 1 mana black card returning every creature with the same name from your gy to your hand...echoing return I thought

Throw in some cards that make tokens with enchantments or enchantments that make tokens and you’d have an oddly synergistic enchantress aristocrats!

I've been REALLY waiting for a good Abzan commander to roll around, this color combination just rarely gets any love. I built a Ghave deck awhile back that ended up being way too strong for my playgroup so I had to shelve it, gonna convert that commander to this one. Really hope this one doesn't end up being as easily broken.

Boy is that a beast of a card. I've been out of the Magic game for a WHILE, but I can tell you right now any "Pay X Life" on the cost can be groovy with this guy to bait out destruction then using gamestate manipulation tactics to effectively counterspell (valid target while targeting, not valid target on resolution). "sacrifice a creature" helps make that tokenization part happen quicker and easier; and since it's a "may" effect you can still choose for it to be in the Grave so you can quickly cycle it through other effects. Oh and this is in the same colors as Prilvedged Position?

What about reanimation combined with this? Like grave betrayal? Where you steal your opponents creatures, but this would permanently remove them from play because you exile their creatures before hitting the graveyard after trading and creating a copy too.

The grossest things I can think of in addition to the cards you mention are: 1+2) Tergid and Lurrus, but only if you want everybody to hate you 3) Luminous Broodmoth. It lets you triple up the trigger, bringing a creature back the first time with flying, and then letting you exile it when that dies 4) Kambal, Consul of Allocation is pretty vicious against a lot of decks (drain 2 per noncreature spell each opponent plays) 5) Giver of Runes becomes a dive down every turn 6) Aven Mindcensor / Opposition Agent are extremely obnoxious 7) Crypt Ghast is ramp + drain Finally, on a jank note, I think that this causes an instant kill combo with Tree of Perdition, as it sets the player's life total to 0, due to the fact that the Tree is no longer a creature. I would need a judge ruling on that though,

Okay, so I did a little digging on reddit and, since he doesnt specify that they lose power and toughness but rather become straight enchantments. So its an enchantment with power and toughness, the part that I am not sure about is if a straight up enchantment is at 0 toughness does it die? so for example, grothama would be a 10/8 enchantment that can fight your creatures when they etb, but I dunno if he would be immortal and could fight like he wants, forever.

To be honest, I can see white if you focus on white as a color of order. Given that Myrkul created the Wall of the Faithless in earlier editions to protect his power and the cosmic authority of the gods and had a vested interest in maintaining a cruel sort of order, it is possible to justify it. Also, white has a lot of spirits that fit with Myrkul's role as god of death and the dead. Between white and black you find a lot of different kinds of ghosts. Green is the part that makes no sense to me to be honest, as Myrkul isn't even tied to the circle of life and death, he is just a god of death and the dead.

The 7 mana price tag is really hard to stomach. If he had a Karador-style discount this would be an insane card, but as it is you're getting it so late I feel like you NEED stax and hard control to make this commander work at all. It's not uncommon for even casual games to end by turn 7. Even with 2-3 pieces of green ramp, that's still about 2 turns of getting to use your commander (which wants a long game) before the game ends.

But if you manage to kill a Planeswalker while they are a creature with this guy out, they would come back with no starting Loyalty, but since they aren't a Planeswalker, they would not die for having 0 Loyalty. And they would still be able to use their Loyalty abilities as normal.

Some effects replace damage dealt to one creature, planeswalker, or player with the same damage dealt to another creature, planeswalker, or player; such effects are called redirection effects. If either creature or planeswalker is no longer on the battlefield when the damage would be redirected, or is no longer a creature or planeswalker when the damage would be redirected, the effect does nothing. If damage would be redirected to or from a player who has left the game, the effect does nothing. Specifically the part about how if it's not a creature or planeswalker when the damage would be redirected, the redirection effect doesn't work.

There's definitely some weirdness going on there regarding if it can happen in the first place, but since Meld exiles the permanents first, then returns them, Brisela will just be a normal creature if you can meld a token copy. It definitely does not work if Bruna, the Fading Light is an enchantment, as Gisela specifically wants a creature with that name, not a permanent. I do not know if it works if an enchantment copy of Gisela is triggering it.

Meld doesn't check for zone changes, it only says exile. You can meld an enchantment Gisela and Bruna into creature Brisela

Gideon of the Trials emblem wants a Planeswalker, so making an enchantment version doesn't help. It does, however, let you make use of his other abilities without worrying about going to 0 loyalty.

Golden pig should be athreos, you could get up to one of them back if it has coin counter. Then if athreos dies it comes back as enchantment so they have to get rid of it all over again.

Look into the official rules. Token COPIES get the CMC of the original card as well. Starfield is a valid strat for myrkul but due it being a commonly confused rule, a lot of decks aren't using it.

"enchantments, harder to deal with" ... unless you cast Tranquility: a 2G sorcery that destroys all enchantments .. or "Back to Nature", that does THE SAME but in INSTANT and for 1G (the best improvement ever) ... I'll expect a spike on those prices!
