Respectfully, I don't think anyone should decide to not buy a fragrance because it's popular, (often they're popular because they're crowd pleasing) and they want to be unique. You should buy something you absolutely love and makes you happy and if you can afford it (dupes can be really great if you want to get close). Aside from a small niche community of fragrance addicts most people i talk to wouldnt know BR540 or delina or erba pura or anything.. they may know some fragrances from Sephora that's usually it.. so if you love it, sure someone else whos into fragrances will know it but most people wont. Also if they do know it you can have a bomding moment over a love of that perfume? But of course you're entitled not to want to buy things because its already popular, I just dont personally think that's good advice for others

Hello! Thank you for sharing your perspective so eloquently, I resonate with what you said but feel the need to clarify why I was inspired to create the video. There are so many underrated and altogether amazing niche brands that are up and coming. Most people have never heard of them, but I get excited about spotlighting them. This is why I do my fragrance news series, why I work with the brands I work with and why I get excited about discovering new scents. At the end of the day, people have the right to do what they want to do with their own money. I may buy any one of these fragrances one day but hope to inspire people who are already planning on buying a fragrance to look at what is available beyond the hype.

Although I must admit I get more compliments on the Dossier version of 540 than the original which I thought was strange.

I love BR540 but after comparing a decant of the original to Red Tempation from Zara, I found the Zara to be a better performer 😂

I think the sillage on BR540 is meant to be subtle so the dupes definitely come off as longer lasting

Hawas Pour Femme is brilliant! Still has a bit of patchouli but is much more balanced and lovely

I totally agree with your views on spending $ on frags that everyone wears. Even if it's not super expensive, I also prefer to spend my $ on something special. That said, I am definitely more easily swayed by hype to spend $ when something is not super expensive (did I preorder Yara Candy? Yes lol)

Interesting thoughts. I adore my Delina Exclusif and am not sorry i bought it but I would never spend $400 dollars on it. 😂. People for sure need to be financially responsible with any hobby or collection. The things you love can bring you enjoyment if done responsibly or do you damage. True of almost everything

I love so much BC540, I now this scent since a few months and I don’t know anyone using it and never smelled it on anyone. Yes. It is possible! There is one problem- no one can smell me, I never received a compliment and I almost don’t smell it on myself. So shame 😢 I love it so much …

There are a lot of popular fragrances I love for a mood or moment but don’t really want to spend all this money on something I’ll wear for a specific occasion. I really like having a decant collection for the 1 or 2 times a year I’ll actually wear something as strong as Delina.

Many people are now complaining about the original Baccarat Rouge 540 not smelling the same anymore. They're claiming that it opens with more alcohol and doesn't last long and many have returned theirs only to get the same results with the exchange bottle. They feel that it has been reformulated. One person commented that someone brought MFK and did indeed reformulated the fragrance. I agree with you about La Vie Est Belle, I hated it. 😷

I absolutely despise BR540. It smells like dental office antiseptic, so I cannot understand any part of wanting that perfume, much less paying hundreds for it. I have never smelled the others. But I'll never spend more than $50 for a perfume. I can find better for less, always.

Sorry BR540 is definitely not my preference and any dupe or inspired fragrance that smells like it 🤢 Now I absolutely stand by scents are subjective and everyone has their iwn taste but for sure people are jumping to BR540 train not because they really love this fragrance but they are influenced and convinced they do.

I had all three Delenas bought secondhand but still yes it adds up for sure but the only one I ended up keeping is Delena La Rosie. I am actually fan of Yara OG. Don’t really love any of the others from the line. EP Is too harsh in my opinion I tried the gold version and although better still not for me. 💛💛

540 is awful. But Delina smells heavenly on my skin. I bought two bottles so far and never tire of it. I always buy a decant or sample before I spend on a full bottle. I did get a decant of Exclusif and that will be my next full bottle. It's gorgeous on my skin. Also, I buy from discount houses. I believe in purchasing from artists in order to fund their efforts, and Never buy knockoffs or dupes.

As over saturated as the universe is with BR540....it us simply stunning. On rhe other hand, La Vie est Belle is completely horrendous to my nose 🤢. It is a total patchouli bomb in the worst way.
