People need to realize just because you have eleven hrs to drive on your clock it doesn’t mean you will be able to drive the eleven hrs because of time management you need to figure out we’re your going to park for the night and if you’re primary stop doesn’t work out then you need a back up place to stop. One you forgot to mention,,you gotta have a plan!!!!! Alot of these companies are out here literally trying to get their money and don't care if you get yours. Meaning you can have all these factors you said checked and yet still not making the money. Brokers look out for themselves. Also to piggy back what you said,have common sense to know you gotta exit in 3 miles get in the correct lane ahead of time. Hard to get over with a long trailer and truck just to say the least.
@HotshotMacc3 ай бұрын
Absolutely, having a solid plan is crucial in this industry. You're right-brokers can be focused on their own bottom line. It's all about being proactive and using common sense to navigate the challenges, like planning your exits well ahead of time. Thanks for sharing your insights!

@HotshotMacc2 ай бұрын
It all depends on the direction you’re looking to go. Leased on? Own authority? Do you already have a truck etc. But I would say between 20-30k depending on your financial situation and to have at least 10k in reserves after you’ve started.

Dude,,,,to make this work and actually make any money you have to forsake everything else or you will fail I don’t think most people really understand just what you are giving up ie- family, friends, religion, clubs, recreation, everything. In reality you are actually trading your life for money, think about that real carefully and the better you are the more work they will push your way. Which means more of your limited life you are selling away and can never get back.
@HotshotMaccАй бұрын
You're absolutely right, man. The sacrifices are real, and not everyone realizes how much you give up until you're living it-time with family, friends, even your own personal life. It can feel like you're trading your life for a paycheck. But at the end of the day, it's all a choice, and that’s the thing about this business. Everyone’s situation is different, and so is their business model. Personally, I don’t plan on being a driver forever. I see this as a stepping stone. Some people choose to go all in, while others, like me, are working towards something bigger. It all comes down to the choices we make.
