Great video Alex, I’m a senior golfer and for the past couple of years have wondered why I had lost so much distance and it was all due to not rotating and pivoting properly.Without realising I was turning as per your bad examples, lifting and swaying and constantly fighting it. I’m playing so much better now and your video is a great example to everyone. Agree with you about Bryson I feel that it’s encouraging younger players to want to hit the skin off the ball and forgoing accuracy which is what the best golfers are about. He is a great golfer and it works for him but I’d rather follow other great players. Thanks again for all the instruction cheers Pete

Alex, Great post. You are not wrong about the ‘Bryson Effect.’ As someone who swings north of 120mph and 180+ ball speed, I was chasing more distance until I realized it was hurting me in club tournament play. I lost the ‘art and feel’ for pure shot making. I have since started to dial it back in order to have a more balanced skill set and hopefully close out more club tournaments. 💪🤙🙌👏🙏

Great tip, I'm transitioning from bodybuilding to serious golf. My spine angle and pivot is my killer. This should definitely help. As far as Bryson I think we all look for extra distance and trying to say we are getting too long is like wanting to put restrictor plates on vehicles in Nascar. I personally think you can't be one dimensional and win consistently in this sport. So a lot of work left for Bryson

I stopped lifting my left heel. I found if I keep my feel on the ground (Fed Couples) that I didn't sway and made better contact. So I took the trade off of a few extra yards, for more control and fairways. There's definitely a yardage gain but I have a problem with timing and control. But I do love the daily tips.

I can’t agree with you re Bryson. I love the variety he brings to the game. Most long hitters can’t keep it straight so they can’t compete. His putting skills are equally impressive and he has elevated himself recently to one of the best in putting stats. He’s a winner who works hard on his game, and most criticism is typical tall poppy syndrome with a bit of jealousy thrown in. Not saying that’s you though!! Anyway thanks for your tips, mostly very worthwhile 👏

I will never understand why people's initial reaction to something that is different is generally pessimistic. Bryson plays within the rules of the game. Tiger was no different when he first got on Tour... Only difference between the two is personality and win percentage. All I get out of those comments are that a lot of people just don't like Bryson... Sounding like the old timers who still think the 3 point shot in the NBA ruined the game... Phil Mickelson is chasing distance too. I don't hear anyone talking about him ruining the game. The man has only won twice since 2013 minus the champions tour and consistently sprays the ball all over the place off the tee. The truth is: The golf ball itself is the biggest difference in the past 50 years. Bet you professionals can still carry it 300+ with an old persimmon driver but give them a ball from the 60's and they probably won't have a chance.

@@interestedbystander196 the game is meant to be played in accordance with the rules. Absolute nonsense, bryson is moving the game forward! I bet you didn't say mcilroy was ruining the game when he out hit his colleagues, nor do you say tiger ruined the game when he outhit his colleagues by 40yrds plus. Its an absolute skill to hit the ball far and hit target just ast sinking 20/30 ft putts (I bet you never said speith is ruining putting several years ago).

I agree the equipment is to advanced for today's courses, would love to see a charity tournement where their drives only go 250yds, hitting an 8 iron (or less) into a par 5 for second shot is not right (or a par 5). Three wood or at minimum a 5 wood should be the second shot. Not impressed with Bryson, appears to be a cry baby to me.
