@@expatamerican3234 I feel priveleged to have witnessed the transformation of a country, all internally from the terrible but exciting 90s, and transition from 2000 to steadily on an upward continuous progress to very likely the best place in the world to raise a family, start a small business, participate in the art, find a made with equal values and do so without stress. I have been back 5 times for 1-2 weeks each and even though prepared to see the current state of US society, each time it is shocking to see the decline that full time residents might see and adjust to in the small daily declines. But me, seeing all the accumulated decline of over 5 years seen all at once is shocking. But the people are too focused on survival to see how far their quality of life has declined. The only changes I see upon return to St Petersburg is new businesses and more options. I used to avoid Moscow because it was faster, more dominated by big business and government but after replacing the mayor 12 years ago it has transformed into a really liable city. I have been in 92 countries and as large cities go, Moscow has to be on the top of the list. For modern and automation, Chinese cities are amazing. But Moscow is the best large city for people to live and raise a family. I live in the city center of St Petersburg and find its perfect for me and I was never a city person. The last time I was in Moscow to appear in a movie after the 5 days of shooting outside in a beautiful lush area south of the city, I changed my train ticket back to SPB and just walked the city center of Moscow and played tourist loved and met a dozen new people I regularly communicate with. It has gone from an intimidating city, I experienced in 1976, to being the most relaxed and low stress large city that has not forgotten a city is for people. There is a problem however, learning to really relax and not be on guard constantly if someone returns to a US city it is going to scare the hell out of the constantly having to be wary and tense. THAT is a measure of quality of life that is so important but not in the ranking criteria....what, a large city without stress? Unknown in the west. Americans in cities or suburbs are so used to being high strung constantly because it really is a risky situation that they might take a week before relaxing for the first time in their lives.

This was definitely not the most brilliant of trolls ever, as a non American I'm making plans to never come to the Russian Federation to not see all the not beautiful things Russia does not have, like for instance it doesn't have one of the most beautiful underground rail station networks in St Petersburg not ever for a start, It does not have fabulously maintained and laid out major cities, it doesn't even have some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, so I will definitely be doing my best to not visit the boring old Russian people are bad Federation😏

Mr Rose in the numerous videos you have made about Moscow I have not seen any police man or a police car in the streets of Moscow. It is extremely safe, people are disciplined, traffic is disciplined, people follow rules in the numerous modes of public transport in Moscow. Also Moscow is so clean and green Everything from Public Transport systems, streets and roads, parks are so clean and well maintained. Also people are healthy, smart and nice looking, both men and women, boys and girls.

@@hansschwartz1480 yeah the contingent is different and purposes are different. Also we have no history of black slavery and we never did any genocides in the african continent so african people have nothing to take a revenge for, they respect us - we respect them back, this is how it works. Blacks love Russia because the people are color blind, all races and ethnicities are seen as the same pleasant valued people. Most of the blacks here are college students, many get full scholarships and usually very well qualified for getting the most out of university here. I am an American who has lived here a long time and most of my many close friends are young because we have similar interests. Something I noticed on my first visit in 1976 as when Africans met Russians the Russian's eyes did not dilate. Then comparing when whites talk to or meet blacks in the US their eyes dilate which indicates a systemic change compared to meeting another white. Maybe because there was always division between classes, races or views but here in Russia there is physical reaction other than normal free smiles or seriousness based on words, not physical presence. Maybe because there is no history of slavery or because there are over 200 ethnicities of the original Russians. The differences in social life is stark, people care about the content of your mind or behavior and not the package.

You know , what is going on nowadays is what was implemented once in countries of Eastern block where I grew up and happily I have to add here. There was unity of people, guaranteed lifestyle and yes, we did not have so much but we had all humans really need to live peacefully. Of course unless you are greedy and need much more..Now my point is what governments of Western countries do now is discourage or scare Westerners from going to Russia, BECAUSE THEY DO NOT WANT THEM TO SEE HOW GOOD IT IS THERE. It is harder to spew propaganda if you have people seeing the truth and facts!!! Thank you for a video. All the best. Jana
