Video is a little all over the place but I think we undervalue and companies warranty long terms dm it’s something that should be talked about more. #walmartknife #$10knife #ozarktrail #bugoutkiller

Just spend the 30 bucks on a D2 rat 2 if you’re new to the knife game

I get where you’re coming from with your review, but you have to consider that your perspective is based on a sample size of 1. You got a dud, some other knife KZbinrs have gotten duds as well, but some also have gotten perfectly functional and acceptable knives. It’s unfair to say that all of this particular knife are junk, it’s more like playing the lottery, for $10 you have a nonzero chance that you may get a knife that can hold its own against other high dollar knives. It’s up to the individual on whether they think the gamble is worth it. My brother got he and I both one, so far I have no complaints. My blade is maybe ever so slightly off center, but it’ll be a good beater knife.

@@ogdensbeard I like knowing what i’m buying not having a mystery steel that could break at any moment and then there is no warranty and good luck finding another one. Buy once cry once

I bought a half dozen of these when they first came out and they are wildly inconsistent. The one thing that is consistent is that the heat treatment on the D2 is so poor it has some of the worst edge retention I've ever seen. Worse than $10 gas station specials I've had.

if you check the blade it says D2. my Access lock works perfectly. It holds an edges and only needs a little bit of a touch up, exactly the same as my Bugout. plenty of positive reviews out there. I suggest for $10.00 bucks everyone needs to buy one. Don't listen to Beardo.

Bug out is s30v and much lighter.

It absolutely does not hold an edge. The D2 is heat treated so poorly you have some of the worst edge retention of any steel in the past 30 years. For $15-20, there's dozens of better choices. You may not own many knives if you think the Ozark Trail is good. When they first came out I bought 5 of them, and they're inconsistent as hell. Different textures on the scales, different coloring, uneven grinds, terrible edge out of the box. There was nothing to this knife but hype. "Exactly the same as my Bugout" is the most blatant BS I've heard someone spew about this knife. Benchmade's S30V actually has great edge retention, the Ozark Trail's D2 is abysmal. The toughness is also wildly different. The OT's blade will chip/snap at the lightest touch compared to anything in S30V. The "just as good" crowd is always ignorant, or straight lying.

I don't agree, I'm using one for the last 4 months, I highly recommend them. These Ozark Trail knives show me how overpriced Benchmade knives are.

yeah ive herd so not cool now if they didnt mess up the grind and ruin the blade steel by over heating it when sharpening it would be a better knife but owell i still like it but i wouldnt buy one thats for sure
