As someone who owns both a S90V Shaman and the OK knives Shaman Clone- if I swapped out the pivot ball bearings for phosphorus washers, one could be hard pressed to tell the difference… micarta handle for the cost of the gas station price is worth it. Threadlocked it and forget it 😅 If not for the Ozark D2 Wugout, would have picked up some Narrows from OK too. My Spydercos see a lot of action, but their size are intimidating.

I'm a big fan of the Shaman too. One of the most comfortable handles ever. I'd probably avoid that Narrows. It has some issues with the blade hitting the spacers in the back & chipping. I've gone thru 3 of them now - all the same. Did a video on it here. They have other better knives. Their OK branded PM2 & Para 3 in CF just blew away my cut testing. Some of the best performers yet (after a good resharpening). Makes me want to grab that OK Shaman in CF/M390 now. 🤔

So bought a Kershaw bel air knock off. It literally has no white or cream color handle just aluminum and def is not magnacut. But it is very sturdy. Just needs sharpened every third day as work knife

😂 "Huang Fu" is the brand. But if you just go to Temu and search for "orange huang fu flyway knife" or even just "bm flyway knife" you should see a bunch of listings. They don't let me put temu links here. Just beware that the steel they list is not really real. Most likely and 8cr or maybe even 5cr. Not terrible. But not 154cm. Still works great for my fishing needs. Happy hunting!

Your carry choices are almost identical to mine. Counterfeit Sage 5 and the OK-Knives C223 (PM3 copy) are my top two. My counterfeit Benchmade Bugout and a small fixed blade are my other favorites.

@@strikenryken I got 2. The OK223 with G10 and the OK223 with carbon fiber. I ordered the C223 counterfeit Spyderco but haven't received it yet. I just want to compare the OK with the counterfeit. I also have an OK-81 (pm2 copy) with titanium (I suspect aluminum is in there, too) and it's a fantastic knife. A bit heavy for me, but I love it. I love both the OK and the counterfeits, but I'm done buying counterfeits after I receive the C223.

@@BladesOnABudget One warning: Not all OK Knives that are Spyderco style are scooped out on the scale to give easy access to the compression lock. I just used a Dremel to open up that part on the scale (very easy). If you look on the inner part of the scale, you'll see that it's molded for the scoop, but that part hasn't been removed. It's no big deal for me, since it takes a minute or two to open it up. Some of them are scooped out for you. You can see which ones by looking at the various pictures. This only applies to the OK Knives that are Spyderco style. Their other OK Knives (like the benchmade style) don't have compression locks, so there's no need.

Why can't I find any knives on Temu?

I've heard a few people say that. Their search algorithm seems to show each person a completely different set of results. Try doing some searches for "titanium pocket knife" or "high quality folding knife". Then click on a few of the listings and scroll thru each of the photos. That teaches the algorithm that you want to see more like that. Then it will start showing all of them to you. Maybe even put one or two in your cart. You have to train the algorithm like that. I see nothing but knives when I open their site now. 🤷‍♂️

thing about stuff like that is it truly is 50/50 when youre talking about temu. 50% chance of getting an actual cheap knockoff, 50% chance of getting what may as well be a factory second (bc a lot of US knife manufacturers manufacture in china already)

That's part of the problem with these low cost Temu knives. None of them will tell you what the real steel is. They just tell you what is printed on the blades, which is never what you get. The consensus is that you get what you pay for. Most of the $50 you're typically getting 9cr18 & D2. But the Temu sellers just don't tell you what you're getting. Many of the better AliExpress sellers will tell you what the steel is. OK Knives will usually tell you only if you message them to ask. If I know what the steel is, I always mention it in the videos. Otherwise, I just don't have any way of knowing - and I will usually say that in the video.

Look for Tuesday's video! "Top 5 OKK knives" on the way! And yes, my experience is that they do have better quality. Although they are still not using the real steel that is marked on the blades. You're not going to get real S30V/M390/etc. anywhere for these prices. But that still doesn't mean that they're total junk either. As long as you clearly understand what you're getting, every man can decide for himself where he finds "value" and what makes him happy. :-)

OK Knives also has a store on Aliexpress where they sell the same knives that they sell on their own website. Some countries cannot buy from the OKK site for some reason. Kind of like Spyderco sells knives on their own website, but they also sell them on Amazon too.

Id say if a knife typically costs hundreds and you find it for a fraction of the original price, its a safe bet that its a fake. However, to temus credit, there are genuine knives on their site from time to time. Most are Kizers and ive bought a couple kizers that were the real deal and for much less than anywhere else The good thing about these cheap knives is if wouldn't think twice about using any of them as i sitting shed a tear if they break.

Are you gonna get the oz Roosevelt, spk lamia, and mcnees Mac 2 3.5 clones? They are in the 75 to 100 range and way cheaper than real ones. I have the real versions and they are great knives and good designs.

It is strange how when you look at a fake knife, something just seems off, even if you cannot tell right away that it is a fake. A little tickle in your gut or a eyebrow raised are common. Perhaps when you identify an #1 knife you could buy the real one. Fakes could be a good way to make sure you like the knife.

We get a ton of people on here who do exactly that. They buy a replica version just to see if they like how it looks & feels in the hand, and then go buy the real thing once they see that they like it.

Not really. It mostly depends on the cost and the vendors. For the most part, when you buy a full titanium knife in the $50-$100 range, you're typically going to get a little better steel (9CR18 or D2). My favorite place for replica knives is still OKKnives.net. I've been very happy with everything from them so far. I have a video on their knives coming this week.

Yeah, sorry about that. Other than the titanium Spydiechef ($60), everything on that table was from $12 (bugouts) to around $35 (the nicer looking Spydercos). Everything in this video came from Temu over the last 6-12 months. Many of them come and go fast. Then it might be another month or two before they pop back up again. The spydiechef was only there for a week & has never been back since (that I've seen). It's really hit or miss. I have a separate video for knives from OKK & AliExp. Only have a half dozen or so from those sites.

Microtechs, Benchmade's, Spyderco, etc. all have surprised me on they're quality for the money. I'm poor... If I'm spending hundreds or thousands for something it's gonna go bang... ✌🏻

Unfortunately, these Temu knife sellers only seem to stick around for a week or so, then they disappear and "new" sellers shops pop up selling the exact same things. It makes it nearly impossible to give out links that are still there in a week from now. I've mostly moved on to buying from OK Knives and AliExpress as those vendors stick around for the long haul - and tend to have better quality too. I may do a "Temu Shopping" video here soon. I got this Jufule Hinderer Eklipse 80$ Ali ex. The bronze scale fits my real Eklipse. The real McCoy has slightly better finish on lockbar side titanium, otherwise that's it. The Toor jank shank I got is perfect for 20$ instead of 250$. Only buy, Jufule, Dicoria, Lemifshe or Efangrow clones, they cost more and are much better using Real D2, N690, compared to pot steel 23$ Spyderco clones.
