Thank you. Look in 80 years staying where Moldova has stayed will result in stagnation. I’ve been all over Moldova and the places that are modern (gas stations, hotels few as they are) are what people looking for tourism want to see. I’ve stayed at the run down old Soviet hotels and the novelty wears off very quickly. The modern is with Europe but it will require tackling corruption to bring it down so that money isn’t stolen and used for things that will bring tourists. Having grown up in Moldova and remember the atmosphere towards Jewish people in the lead up to the break up of the USSR I’d like to ask if you can ask Moldovans what their thoughts are on Jewish people in modern Moldova. I don´t live in Moldova and I didn´t visit there (yet), but become a EU member is good because will benefit in infrastructure, education, social policies, and more development thanks to european funds. I agree with one of the interviewers that negociations process are more quickly due to Ukraine's war, if wouldn´t happened , progress must be slower. Years must be passed to access to be a EU member, because there are some points to reform and the eu petition go by several steps, until all reforms is compatible with EU standards (agriculture, democracy, transparency, less conrruption, etc) . As well told one of the interviewers depends on government and future government. So welcome to join to the EU! And I hope to visit as soon as possible this country!!!

Moldova is not "producing nothing" as the senior said. The EU has a high demand for goods and services, and Moldova would add capacity. Most people here in Germany support the entry of Moldova, even though they will be a receiver state much longer than other European countries. Together we build our continent!

Just compare the East-European countries in 1990 and now. Huge difference! Of course, the final decision (join or not) is only in the hands of Moldovans.

One disfuncitional as hell family where one part shits on the other, another part cant stop leeching money, and another part feels so superior everything they want should be done. Nah... Countries are better off alone, and make trade agreements. The EU is a failure. Especially to is citizens and to democracies. It is a hypocrit order, where rules apply according to who makes them and whenever they favor them. Otherwise they are just broken, changed or ignored. Moldova is a European country, if they meet the demand in regards to freedom of speech and real democracy I am for it. It's okay if the country has not a huge amount of resources, but the same can be said about Luxemburg, not even forgetting those other micro states.

Romania cand a intrat in UE avea un PIB de 174 miliarde de dolari acuma avem 320 de miliarde se putea si mai bine dar inca suntem in crestere. Agricultori primesc bani de la EU. I think you think America is much more powerful than it really is. It's influential but it doesn't get to tell NATO or Europe what to do or who can join. NATO only exists because of Russian aggression. Having Russia join NATO would be like inviting the fox into the hen house. Russian aggression keeps enlarging NATO. In case you haven't kept up with current affairs Russia has been brutally attacking Ukraine and tried to overthrow its government unsuccessfully. The Ukrainians aren't having it and the majority of Moldovans don't want Russia there either. Your Kremlin talking points just don't add up.

Current Germany also same even allows its infrastructure like Nordstream to get destroyed. Macrons France is trying to act tough yet still does whatever America asks, losing its grip in Africa. The EU is a failed experiment and would ruin Moldova, currently the EU is falling apart, with most of the member countries fighting amongst themselves, either economically or Militarily(Ukraine). While the people of those countries have become neglected in the pursuit of a collective EU agenda to the detriment of their economies. Moldova joining the EU is a huge mistake. FYI: Russia is not going to invade and the EU wouldn't do anything to help anyway.

They've been reliant on the EU to fund them. That's why Russia is desperately searching for alternative markets for their oil and gas. The EU in the meantime has found alternative sources.
