These party manifesto's are conceived in the knowledge that none of us are in the position to do the financial maths and they're more than content with us all being left with cartoon question marks sitting above our heads. Effectively they have free licence to be as deceitful as they please.

The SNP's Stephen Flynn seems to be the only leader giving warning about the IFS findings.

He can, because he knows no one expects him to be presenting a budget any time soon. I agree with him, but Labour have to play the “we won’t break the economy” game.

Thank God we left last year. We now pay 22% tax.and live in a country which is entirely apolitical. Breath of fresh air after the last 10 years.

The IFS has a role to play informing the public about issues around budgeting, but what they say tends to have a narrow focus, with little regard for the wider impact of proposals. So benefits to society in terms of social justice, levelling up, investment in infrastructure, social cohesion, are given short shrift. The financial value of this social spending is always undervalued by the IFS, though I believe politically they purport to be neutral, their disdain for virtually all government spending makes them de facto Tory.

Only 'firm' pledge the political establishment in Britain is prepared to make is to keep frittering away many billions of deficit spending upon an already long lost war in Ukraine.

Id say david Cameron beint oranked into thinking he is in a ohone call with ex ukrainian president Poroshenko, is worse than what rushi did. Given the fact that their terms over lapped. Cameron wants arm and fight russia using ukraine under the guise freedom for Ukraine. But cant even recignise the prankster on face time as not... The ex Ukrainian president. 😅
