@@kaizentruth8098 yes but to give an accurate comparison you need to do that it is like trying to use the angelus paint on a brush used for painting houses it just will not work how it should and will not be as even and easy to control

First of all, your not getting an even coating because your scribbling all over the shoe. Plus your using what looks like PC-1M, which is 0.7 mm thick. this will not cover the amount of space you want it to. Other artists use the PC-5M which are 1.8- 2.5 mm thick. Because they are thicker, they give a more even coating and more paint comes out. Also, other artists prep their surface and add products such as Angelus leather prepare and deglazer. This gives the leather a nice even surface for the paint to hold on to, so it doesn't become runny and spotty. Don't try and dig at a product if your not using it right.

Posca pens are fine. You should read their instructions on surface prep and finish and you will not have any of these issues.

With my experiences I have used posca and wearing them straight after they will crack and crease but if you let them sit for a few days and paint or airbrush a sealer on them the do last but angelus paint is a better option by far

It sticks pretty well but the Colors seemed to get everywhere on the shoes (I painted the logo in red and some red managed to get all over some blank part I didn’t customise). So, when it does that, I juste remove it with acetone, but I think it damages the shoe...

Have you tried the posca acrylic pens? Rather than the water based ones? Obviously the leather paint is better but for those with less money, dexterity & artistic skills, Poscas seem like a good option.

pewdie pie, well it makes it stay a lot better than with no finisher. I just finished some shoes with POSCA pens and the only issues I had is, you might need to add more layers so you don’t see marker streaks and the occasional cracking where the shoe creases while walking

You should prep before painting and when its dryed you spray it with impregnation

The pens are water based pens so it makes sense for them to smudge if water and pressure are applied to it, in this case rubbing it with a wet paper towel. I’m not familiar with what Angelus paint but I doubt it’s water based.

Kevin Aparicio it’s not water base for Angelus. It’s just more convenient and reliable with Angelus, so for those who want to customize shoes it’s still a better choice to go for Angelus since it’s especially made for shoes ya know

Just a note, this was solely my experience with Posca Pens as I've mentioned in the description. I'm very experienced with customizing shoes and have gone through the proper ways of prepping this pair. In the end, as someone who customizes durable, but extremely detailed customs, I would say it's a safer option to use Angelus Paint for beginners.

1. They don’t crack on the shoe if you read the instructions on the official posca page and prepare the surface right 2. Again, use the official instructions to prepare the surface. He used waterbased pens, so it makes sense that they’ll wash off with water. If he’d use acrylic posca pens (that most artist use for customs) and would set it (with special setting sprays, or if you’re broke/don’t have access to these, use some good hairspray, but make sure the colors are dry), they wouldn’t wipe away at all (unless you’re trying to get it off with bleach or something like that lol) Also he was using small 1M tip, which is not good at all for covering big areas like the swoosh, etc. I’d suggest to use 5M and up, for filling big areas and smaller then 5M for details, hope that helps!
