Great video, loved the bloopers 🤣. I’m going to try a pour on an LP record to make a clock, will have to do a clear pour on the top. Not sure if I should put the numbers on before or after the clear pour. Might make two and see which I prefer xx

lol at the point where he had to flip that thing multiple times to see if the letters were good I'd probably have elevated the glass panel at the sides and slide my phone with the selfie setting underneath. I love the idea of the resin clock and I just happened to have bought some posca pens so it is good to see that they can be used for resin.

A really nice project! I’m curious. I’m not very familiar with Posca markers. Why do you use them? Is it because you color the mold itself and then the color completely transfers to the resin and leaves the mold clean? Would sharpies react differently? Thanks in advance.

@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts Thanks, i didn’t know that. So in theory it can damage the molds, right ? “Anxious look” 🤣

@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts I've been looking at paint markers, but didn't think Water based ones would be good because resin doesn't like water 🤔
@carolthorburn29793 жыл бұрын
I have that exact mold. I've always had watches with Roman numerals since I was a teenager that was a loooooooong time ago 😳 I love the idea using the posca pen? Saves resin. Do they come in other colors? I've never heard of those. Instead of the tiles for the word " FOR " since it seems a bit cramped because of the middle piece obscuring the word a bit; what about painting an arrow from the center pointing it's way to the number IV (4) for / four 😁 ? Or easier still you could turn a tile upside-down and draw a 4 on it. Anyways many thanks again for a great video love your work hugs from Quebec Canada 🫂

You totally should have drilled a hole in the O tile in FOR and had the clock stem go through it. Then you could center all of the words.

Time for resin I can see, I will pass on the gin though. I was hoping those beautiful swirls you made with the purple at the end would come through, but they didn't seem to do so.
@jimicross16073 жыл бұрын
To check the placement of the letters, I thought you were just going to lift up the Perspex and look at it from underneath, rather than trying to clamp it with a notebook and flip it over. Could have worked out easier!
@Crownzz.Woodworking Жыл бұрын
Nice, next time to keep the swirls in the resin don’t swirl it. Wait until the resin starts to cure on ur project till it’s the consistency of peanut butter. Then when the piece is completely cured it will have the same swirls
