I was a pet of a Raven family. They visited me daily and showered me with their affection, pleasant discourse and 'small' gifts. They would bring all kind of metal items, sometimes (part of) jewelry. Also, they would enter into my kitchen and keep me company there as I fed them mostly finely cut organ meats and nuts (no bread or processed foods.). I tried to make sure that my wild friends remained wild but I taught them to call me using my nickname that was easy for them to vocalise. In the morning I would typically hear a rapid stacato of knocking on the kitchen window followed by being called by name, signaling that they were checking up on me and that their breakfast was due. The older couple in the raven murder, were ringed and upon checking these they were respectively 36(the male) and 34(the female) years old. Their offspring was not ringed. I miss them.

My pet Crows are wild. I visit them when they come to eat 2 times a day. I find that much better then locking them in cages.

I hope to develop a friendship with some of the many crows that live nearby. KZbin has made my appreciate just how intelligent they are and willingness to befriend humans.

Nah. As much as I love corvids - or maybe because of that same sentiment - don't domesticate. Just befriend the wild ones. Very satisfying!

Yeah if you get them as a baby because they are as intelligent and smart as a 7 year old child and They can talk I didn't know that They can actually talk like parrots but there understanding and reasons is like a seven year old child that's very smart if you have a mind like a small child 7 year's old and can reason like a small child that's insane

I have the priviledge off having two ravens visit me at my home once or twice each day. I believe they are either a mated pair or siblings - one of them is slightly larger and a bit nervous when close to me. I feed them every time they come to visit and I am hopeful that they will become more relaxed over time - It would be great if they have offspring and that I will be able to befriend the young

ive got a crow and his buddy that come by every day. I throw peanuts on the lawn. they always wait until I go inside the house before they eat the peanuts. the one brave guy is not flying as far away from me as he used to. I think he's starting to trust me a bit. I'm wondering if I can get them to hang out with me and not be afraid? anyone got any advice?
